Approximately six months ago, I received the training and ignitions for Holy Fire Reiki, the new evolution of this amazing healing modality. Since then, it has informed and elevated my interactions with clients and their healing, the manner and content of my classes, as well as my personal healing journey. There are many questions (and some misunderstanding) about Holy Fire Reiki, and I want to offer my interpretation of, and experience with, Holy Fire, in the hope of creating clarity and dispelling some misinformation.
For those who are interested in the full details of Holy Fire, The International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT) website has dedicated an entire section to this, complete with history, FAQs, interviews with William Lee Rand, and more about Holy Fire Reiki. However, because I now teach my classes in the Usui/Holy Fire system, as well as treat clients with the Holy Fire energy, I was guided to share with you my perspective and experiences with Holy Fire.
As most of you undoubtedly know, humanity and the planet have entered the Age of Aquarius, and are struggling to realize a New Consciousness. Much of what is going on globally at this time is directly related to this shift – planetary house cleaning, if you will.
Most of the souls incarnated at this time have the ability to take on and hold higher levels and frequencies of energy, in order to meet the demands of this new consciousness and to help ease the transition into the Age of Aquarius. In short, humanity is evolving and we, as individuals and healers, must be ready to step up and heed the call. The methods by which we access Source, the Divine, God, or whatever you choose to call All That Is, also have to evolve if we are to progress. Hence, the introduction of Holy Fire Reiki. It has been given to us by Source as a means of accelerated healing and growth.
The possibilities for healing and growth are limitless with this energy, which comes directly from the God-Consciousness, and works continuously to heal issues and challenges as they arise. It is self-evolving, and develops itself, which accelerates with continued use.

Some of its more frequently reported qualities include:
♥ Works continuously, and spontaneously heals issues as they arise.
♥ Always respects free will.
♥ Heals deeply and quickly with reduced distress.
♥ Heals relationships and interactions with others.
♥ Releases worry, replacing it with a sense of safety in a most pronounced way.
♥ Spontaneously provides guidance that is palatable for every level of life experience.
♥ Tends to develop beneficial individual personality traits such as love of self and others, kindness, patience, confidence, vitality, enthusiasm, optimism, trust, joy, peace, and so forth.
♥ Once received, it continues to develop itself to be more evolved and effective.
One of the most beautiful things about the Holy Fire energy is the feeling of love and being loved. The individual experiences nurturing on a very deep and personal level. Additionally, those who have received the Holy Fire training report deep, and often permanent, healing of issues that have been long “forgotten” and buried by their conscious minds. As for myself, I have experienced astonishing changes and shifts – in my perspective, my attitudes, and in deep healing from long-ago traumas. Clients have also reported surprising results in healing sessions, which are often attended by the Ascended Masters, Archangels, and other Light Beings.
Some of the reports include:
♥ Pronounced feelings of warmth, originating in the solar plexus and radiating throughout the physical body, described as a “warm golden light”.
♥ A feeling of being comforted and nurtured, as if attended by a loving parent.
♥ Feeling the presence of Ascended Masters and Archangels, including the sensation of wings brushing gently over them.
♥ Loving hands gently radiating Divine energy into the core of their being.
As the practitioner, I have had many experiences in which I am “instructed” how best to conduct the session. The most remarkable example of this phenomenon occurred during a treatment with a long-time client. Almost immediately, I felt the presence of Master Jesus, who began sweeping his hands together over each of the client’s chakras, starting at the sides, and bringing them together like a tenting motion and sweeping up. Then I knew I was supposed to do that as well, which I did. This also happened at her feet, with Master Jesus demonstrating the action, and me following. When I asked what this was all about, I heard “Raising up the energy.” Although I was initially confused by this reply, I soon understood – Holy Fire not only permeates the receiver’s physical body but must be actively swept up into the entire energetic field, where it can be most effective for the individual.
Immediately following the session, the client spontaneously expressed a feeling of awe and reverence, stating that she felt Master Jesus’ presence throughout the session, calming and comforting her, assuring her that all is well.
Since that session, I have been guided many times to perform this sweeping motion with Holy Fire, always with noticeable results reported by the client.
Additionally, the attunement process with students has been transformed with the Holy Fire energy. The overwhelming majority of students describe warmth, sometimes uncomfortably so, a jolt of energy like an electric current when they are touched, and a rush of warm golden energy, entering from the crown, traveling into their feet, and into the Earth. One student reported that he could “see” his chakras and light channel joyfully opening up to receive this energy.
The Holy Fire energy goes where no energy has gone before (to paraphrase Star Trek!), and elevates each of us to recognize our Divinity and rightful place in the Universe. Holy Fire is a game-changer, for all who allow its powerful, yet loving and gentle energy, to assist in meeting the challenges of the New Consciousness. As a Holy Fire Reiki practitioner and teacher, I am ever grateful for the opportunity to be of service during this pivotal time in humanity’s evolution.

My Holy Fire class in March 2015 was so intense and came with amazing energy. Once my body adjusted to this higher level of energy, the energy that passed through me to others was as you described. During my class I found that I was jumping into others meditation and they into mine. Once I began teaching Holy Fire classes what I experience and see around the students is beyond description. Joanne, thank you for sharing. I also took my Holy Fire class in March 2015. There were 9 of us and we all shared similar experiences during our meditations. We thought it was a unique situation and later discovered it was happening to others as well. Holy Fire reiki is amazing.
I was in the first group trained in Holy FIre and there were many that were upset about the Jesus reference. I have learned to bring it into my work in a way that is powerful for me and my clients. As with any new change, there will be “rumblings in the camp” until we all settle into the new gift and see it’s advantages.
What’s the difference between Usui Reiki and Holy Fire? Is the training the same?

When Holy Fire 2 came out, I have to admit, I was very skeptical and “on the fence” about it. I decided to get the upgrade to the Holy Fire 2 energy, with the intention if I was not supposed to get it, that I do not. I was very specific about this to my spiritual team. Well, I didn’t feel much other than relaxation during the upgrade, but in the week after, holy cow. Events that I cannot even describe happened to me, and doing the attunements the new way in Holy Fire 2 for my students has been more powerful than the previous Holy Fire attunements. They have had wonderful and beautiful experiences, very similar to what is outlined in our Holy Fire 2 master book, and I don’t even tell them about those possible experiences beforehand. Needless to say, I am no longer on the fence about the Holy Fire energy, and the upgrades as it evolves. I am so grateful that I found this style of reiki, because with me, my clients, and students, I find it has helped in such a powerful way, that can’t be denied.
Oh, and I forgot to mention how amazed and shocked I was to read that the sweeping motion you were guided to do, has come to me many times during my treatments as well. How wonderful is that?

The energy is simply indescribable.
I have read up on Holy Fire before and how uses invoke God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. As a Christian practicing Usui Reiki I have done that from the very beginning of my practice. The results talked about in this article are things that have been experienced by me and people I have worked on. I don’t see how these results are unique and require Holy Fire specific training. The only thing I can see as a difference is that being “attuned” to Holy Fire Reiki gives the receiver permission to remove limiting beliefs about being able to access higher vibrational power, but that block can be removed without Holy Fire Reiki. It also gives you permission to invoke the Holy Trinity and the Angels of God, but you can give yourself permission to do that at any time. I’m not against anyone using the Holy Fire Reiki model, if you feel called to get that training, okay, great, go for it. However, to say or imply that the experiences discussed in this article are unique to Holy Fire Reiki is false
I have to agree with you Ruth. I believe it lies in the intent. I call upon the Archangels, angels, guides, ancestors, those Light Beings who have agreed to work with us in this lifetime to come in and assist in the Reiki session. I do this as my beginning prayer as I draw out the Reiki symbols over the client’s forehead. I’m sure there is a higher frequency of energy coming in with Holy Fire Reiki, but I trust in the energies to do the very best for both the client and myself at that moment in time.
Exactly. And this goes for many other varieties of beings/guides/animals that can take part. (And I have a completely different style of training than Reiki altogether, although I promote and support ALL types of energy work). It is just the timing, children are being born with this ability. We are in the world where someone is making a profit. But – to not be too pessimistic, if it is helping others open to new dimensions and abilities, than so be it, and it is me to be.

The experiences I describe in the article were unique to me when I began practicing Holy Fire Reiki, and were in no way meant to imply that they were anything but my own experiences. The account of my personal experiences is not false – it is an accurate description of how the Holy Fire energy works with me, and that is what this article intended – to share my personal experience with those who may find it useful.
At the time of my training, I was an Usui Reiki Master as well as a Kundalini Reiki Master. Upon completing the Holy Fire training, I noticed a remarkable difference in the energy as did my clients and students.
Additionally, I was aware of deep shifts occurring within myself at an accelerated rate.
Since then, the energy has continued to grow and evolve, as have I. That is not to say that Holy Fire Reiki is the “best” Reiki. From my perspective, the best Reiki is that which the individual practitioner is guided to practice and/or teach – which is why there are so many styles and systems of Reiki from which to choose. At this time, after almost 5 years of exclusively practicing and teaching Holy Fire Reiki, my appreciation and love for this particular energy continue to expand and grow.

Your comment to Kathleen Johnson can be boiled down to saying “as a Christian and an Usui Reiki practitioner, I have had similar experiences without Holy Fire training therefore, what you wrote about is false.”
Instead of reading the article about Kathleen’s experiences, you centered yourself into her article and then made a judgment.
Pardon me for being so blunt but that is very unchristian like, unfair, arrogant and against the Reiki principles to say that Kathleen’s experience with Holy Fire Reiki is false.
You cannot say someone is telling falsehoods when you did not live their experience or walk in their shoes.
Another reason why your comment is Unwarranted: you say that for yourself as a Christian and Usui Reiki master That you have had similar experiences to what Kathleen is describing in her article. Great! I hope you continue to have them.
But What you may not know is that there are many EXPERIENCED Reiki practitioners who have similar experiences to what Kathleen wrote about ONLY AFTER receiving the attunement to Holy Fire Reiki. These are people who do not read the Bible on a regular basis, do not go to church on a regular basis and would describe themselves as not being Christian. YET These practitioners say that AFTER receiving Holy Fire Reiki Attunement (now Holy Fire II and more recently Holy Fire III) they say that they noticed a deeper and profound connection to God (Source/The Divine/etc), a connection with Christ And their clients say that they feel a gentle but noticeable power increase from them when they receive their Reiki sessions.
There are many styles of Reiki that are available. Holy fire practitioners never say “Holy Fire Reiki is the best Reiki.” If anything, Holy Fire Reiki Practitioners encourage amd support all Members of all Lineages to continue practicing the style that brings you the most joy and helps you to achieve what you want in life.

Lesia, if you feel called to practice Holy Fire Reiki, perhaps it is for you. One way to tell is to find a Holy Fire Reiki Practitioner and ask for a Holy Fire Reiki session.
That will help you understand if it’s for you or not. Good luck
