There are many, many methods for Earth healing. First, we will talk about healing our relationship with the Earth. We are part of the whole and thus, our relationship with the Earth greatly affects it’s health. The life of modern humanity is moving faster and faster everyday. We are losing our connection to the Earth. So, we must re-establish this connection we were born with. Here’s a list of ten simple things that you can do to get started.
1. Go outside.
2. Hug a tree, really.
3. Get your hands dirty.
4. Lay down.
5. Go for a swim in a lake.
6. Smell some wild flowers.
7. Go camping.
8. Go for a hike.
9. Volunteer at a local farm.
10. Go to the ocean.
If you bring Reiki into these activities, it will deepen your connection to Mother Earth. When you hug that tree, make it a Reiki hug. Share yourself with it. Let the energy flow from you into the tree then up and out the crown and down and out the roots. Then, let the tree share its energy with you. There is a subtle vibration there, shhhh, just feel, listen quietly.
Put your hands right in the dirt. Turn on your Reiki, energize all the symbols and place them into the Earth. When doing this, you are giving Reiki to thousands of beings in the soil. This is greatly beneficial to the welfare of the Earth. These things don’t need to be big events. It should be like seeing a good old friend once again. The Earth will even begin to reciprocate with energy flowing up into your feet, nourishing your roots.
Go for a hike and bring a bag with you. There is always bits of garbage that can be picked up. I always bring an old plastic shopping bag with me in my day pack to help cleanse the natural environment. This shouldn’t be a big project, just if you see something just pick it up and take it out with you. Nice, easy and makes a big difference over time as you re-establish and deepen your relationship with the Earth.
These are just a few ways to get you started. Our relationships with our environment are as unique as we are. We need to nurture that relationship, open it up. Now more than ever we need to be that force of momentum and change. It starts with the little things. It starts here. It starts now. You can just lean out a window and take it all in. Become friends again…
