Healing with Light and Colour: A Powerful Technique

Light healing can be clubbed effectively with Reiki to support the process of physical healing. In light healing, we use lights of varied colours to heal. I mostly use green, pink and white light, as I have found that these colours are deeply healing. At times, I also use violet, blue, orange, red and yellow, depending on my inner guidance.

Light healing can be used to address physical, mental, emotional as well as spiritual blocks. However, this article is specifically about how Light healing can be applied to energetically support people who are receiving medical treatment for heath issues.

The techniques described below can be used for self healing and for healing others.

Physical Healing with Green Light ( In Person)

• Call upon Archangel Raphael, who is the angel in charge of physical healing.
• Ask him to protect you as you embark on this journey of healing.
• Place your hand on the affected body part. If the healing is for an internal organ, you can place your hand on the body, just over the location of the organ. Visualise an emerald green light covering this body part or organ.
• Visualise the body part or organ underneath absorbing this emerald green light and being healed.
• Do this visualisation for as long as you feel like.
• Follow up with a full body Reiki treatment. The OM symbol is particularly effective for physical healing and you can invoke it as you heal with Reiki. If you are not yet introduced to this symbol, you can use any symbol that resonates with you.
• Request the green light to stay over the affected part until it is fully healed.

The procedure remains the same for self healing and for healing others in person.

The Colour Technique ( Distance and In Person)

If you have difficulty visualising or connecting with organs deep inside the body, you can use the colour technique described below. If the person being treated is at a distance, you can use this same technique. This is a very powerful technique and I use this all the time, even for myself.

• Draw a rough sketch of the affected organ or body part.
• Call upon Archangel Raphael, who is the angel in charge of physical healing.
• Ask him to protect you as you embark on this journey of healing.
• Use a light green coloured crayon or colour pencil and shade the affected organ. This colour represents the green light and produces the same effect as visualising the light.
• Feel the body part or organ underneath absorbing this green light.
• Feel the organ or body part healing. Do this for as long as you feel like.
• Next draw any symbols that you are guided to on the sketch. As stated before, the OM symbol is particularly effective for physical healing.
• Follow up with a full body Reiki healing.

In the pictures above, you can see a heart and a female reproductive system for which I used the colour technique along with Reiki healing.

Case 1: The client was an elderly male who underwent a cardiac bypass surgery. He received energy healing before and after surgery. In this particular case, the heart needed more yellow and pink light, while the areas surrounding the heart needed green. The heart being the organ associated with love, pink light was used generously.

Case 2: The client was a young woman who was receiving medical treatment for uterine issues. Colour healing was done to facilitate corresponding healing of the sacral chakra. In this case, only green and pink light were needed.

Healing with Pink Light

Pink is the colour of love. Love has the highest vibration and is the most powerful healing force in the Universe. Apart from using green light, you can also visualise pink light flooding the affected areas. The healing power of green and the loving power of pink create a fantastic combination and result in deep healing at various levels of being. If you are using the sketch, you can shade the affected area with a light pink crayon (over the green shading itself).

Healing with Other Colours

Feel free to use other colours like red, blue, yellow, orange, white and purple as per the need. Your intuition will guide you. Mixing colours is perfectly fine as we often need a combination of colours to heal.

Healing with lights and colour is something I have grown to love! Feel free to experiment with lights and colours and arrive at combinations best suited to you. Many blessings ☺
