Reiki Masters tirelessly educate on the benefits of Reiki for those who would like a complementary and non-invasive therapy. It is becoming apparent that these efforts are finally paying off as more people around the world are beginning to pursue Reiki treatments for themselves, their pets, and their environments.
Famous Health Expert, Dr. Oz, heartily approves and suggests Reiki to many clients, from those wishing to lose weight, to anyone else who is sincere about pursuing a healthy lifestyle. His wife, Lisa Oz is a Reiki Master Teacher and comments about the increasing popularity of Reiki by saying, “The next wave of medical advances will be when we come to recognize the body as an energetic system.”
Dr. Oz has also shared his thoughts about Reiki by stating “We are embarking on this whole new vista of opportunities. It broadens dramatically the spectrum of where we might be able to go in our bodies.”
Another famous medical expert, Dr. Stephen Devries, author of “What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Cholesterol” has said…“Massage, meditation, and Reiki, a type of energy healing, can also reduce the stress that can lead to heart disease.”
Outside of the medical community, famous artists such as Mel B., of the Spice Girls, relies on Reiki to keep her energy going strong. She has said, “For a long time we were managing ourselves, which kept us grounded, but was very tiring, I think the fact that I coped proved Reiki worked for me – I had the energy to keep on going.”
Other recording artists who make sure to have a Reiki Practitioner available during tours and recording include Shania Twain, Macy Gray, and Kellie Pickler. Multi-Platinum R&B singer, Erykah Badu, is such a fan of Reiki, that she became a Reiki Master.
Of course, there is a long list of movie stars and other artists who have found excellent results with Reiki, including:
– Halle Berry
– Kate Bosworth
– Sandra Bullock
– Ellen DeGeneres
– Michael Flatley
– Sadie Frost
– Goldie Hawn
– Angelina Jolie
– Helen Hunt
– Nicole Kidman
– Gwyneth Paltrow
– Joely Richardson
– Sharon Stone
– Uma Thurman
– Naomi Watts
Reiki is not just becoming more popular in the medical and arts sectors. Athletes are also beginning to realize the profound benefits of it. Pro golfers, including Phil Nickelson, and other professional athletes such as the Chicago White Sox, routinely seek Reiki sessions for the many benefits available through this calming and pleasurable therapy.
In a New York Times article, Jerry Kelly, who is a two-time PGA Tour winner, shares his experience about the shoulder pain he was suffering from: “The two bones were rubbing against each other. I was going to have surgery the next week. I did five (Reiki) sessions with Jim that week and it was the best I had felt on a golf course in over a year. When I went in for the pre-op for the surgery, there was a space between the bones of the AC joint and I didn’t need the surgery anymore.”
As the list of famous people who rely on Reiki for a variety of wellness pursuits grows, the list of not-so-famous people, from every age group and walk of life, increases as well. As more people learn about the extensive advantages of Reiki treatments, opportunities will continue to become more readily available for those who have yet to experience the many benefits.

Hi..,very very important and interesting article,IT shows scope and nature of reiki.thank you.
Thank you! I loved reading it!
This is a misleading article! Jerry Kelly and the pro-golfers are treated by Jim Weathers who practices not only Reiki but also Shiatsu and Reflexology. This is an important difference. In the below quote from Jerry Kelly, you’ve added “(Reiki)” to it when they were not just Reiki sessions, they were multi-modality sessions.

Please remove my name from your mailing list. Don’t try to sell me or impress me on the beauty and healing merits of Reiki through Hollywood. Maybe your next upscale Reiki product can be developed by goop. I’m not impressed in your line-up because it’s trending with the stars. My interest was initiated on my own spiritual growth. OOOhhh look people, Hollywood is doing it so it must be good for you too. Pathetic and insulting.
Thank You Reiki.
Stay Blessed

I agree with this 100%. Reiki does not need celebrities to impress me, and I think it’s an insult to ordinary people that we should do what the rich and famous do. Reiki is an absolutely wonderful therapy and doesn’t need to be “sold” this way.
