Three months ago, I moved from the city to a small town some 300km away. I had a well-established and thriving healing, coaching and teaching practice in the city, offering in-person sessions with the occasional distant/remote session when clients asked for it.
One of the primary shifts in my practice has been moving fully into the distant/remote healing space. A few of my city-clients fully embrace this new way of receiving their healing treatments and have continued their healing journeys with me. However, the majority of existing and prospective clients are sceptical and doubtful of the effectiveness of distant healing, impacting significantly on the “success” of my healing practice. This is and will probably be a challenge for the foreseeable future which I am figuring out and I would like to share the following thoughts/advice/wisdom:
I NEVER doubt the beauty and effectiveness of distant healing. It works!
Once a client has experienced a distant healing session, they are usually amazed and convinced of its effectiveness. For this reason, I am offering Reiki Specials (e.g. buy-one-get-one-free, Valentine’s specials for couples, etc.) to expose as many clients and prospective clients to distant healing as possible.

I spend a significant time on preparation for a distant healing session, usually with some serious pendulum dowsing and a number of dowsing charts I have put together to assist and guide me in this prep-work for clients. The quantum field holds so much of the information about us, and I find this a useful and insightful way of accessing that information prior to the actual distant healing session.
I set up specific appointments with the first part dedicated to an online chat with the client to get a feel for what we are addressing, clarify any issues and generally getting to know them in the case of new clients or catching up in the case of existing clients. The distant healing session is also followed up with an online chat to provide feedback, answer any questions and discuss the way forward.
I have added a video to my webpage explaining what a distant healing session is and how it would work. This helps clients and prospective clients understand the process and what to expect.
I will probably learn a few more useful and important lessons as time passes. My practice is growing (again) slowly but surely. And as one final remark: with all the changes and challenges over the past three months, I never neglected my self-healing – it has been my salvation during this time of uncertainty and change, finding my feet in a new place, and moving forward with an evolving healing practice.
