Love, like time, circles around in spirals. It is not linear – like we would like it to be, neither is it escalating. It is a simple spiral – it goes deeper and wider at the same time. It may feel like a vortex sometimes or it may feel like a passageway sometimes.
Love is also not bound by relationships or definitions. People spiral in and out of our lives. They give and receive love as and when the time is right. You may not have met a friend in ages, and may even feel distant, but the Universe knows exactly who and what you need – when. Right when you are in the middle of feeling restless or in need of something to make your life feel full – that very friend – who meant so much to you will come spiraling back into your life – showering you with that abundant feeling, that warmth, that love.
You may run into a stranger who might smile at you on a day when you feel dark clouds hovering over your head. Or better still, you might be the stranger who lights up someone else’s day.
When we look at things from a deeper perspective, we realize that we are all ultimately in search of and offering the same thing – LOVE. It may be in different forms, but it all comes down to this.
- When we seek fame – we may be seeking validation or a ‘status’ in life that may make us feel like we are loved or looked up to.
- When we let others walk over us to make them feel better – we are still seeking that love from them.
- When we express gratitude for all the bounty that surrounds us – we are expressing love towards the universe for having our back.
- When we decide to dress up and feel special for no reason – we may be expressing that love for ourselves.
- When we cook for our loved ones, when we make sure their needs are met, when we encourage our friends, when hug our pets, when we nurture our plants, when we meditate, when we do something for ourselves, when we breathe and just exist – we are only vibing with the energy of love.
If you really look at the core of it – whatever the expression, whatever the journey – we are all just looking to feel loved and to love. Our languages may be different, the way we express ourselves may be different – but ultimately it all boils down to the same thing.
So instead of looking at external goals, if we just begin our day each day by asking ourselves or the Angels or the Universe – “How can I love today?” – we are more likely to have successful days and successful relationships – with ourselves and others. It’s not rocket science – it’s a basic and simple choice we can make in shifting our perception each morning. Taking this a step further – at the end of each day we can ask ourselves – “How have I loved today?” Even if the answer is as simple as making yourself a cup of green tea – it is an expression of love for yourself.
Let’s remove love from that pre-defined box of set rules and regulations and let’s try a fresh perspective on it. We may just realize that it surrounds us and is within us in ways bigger than we acknowledge.
Love is a Power and it’s time we consciously tune into it.
