In a previous article, I discussed the differences and similarities between Reiki and Magick.
When we send out Reiki, we have a specific intention, or one based on “For the Highest Good”. Someone practicing Magick also creates an intention when they decide to perform a spell for a desired outcome. In both instances, energy is being sent out, into the Universe, for a specific intention and goal of manifestation.
If you practice Reiki and Magick then combining these two is a fairly simple process. I’ve coined the term, “Reiki Spells” when referring to a spell that has been created using Reiki and sent out into the world (the end product if you will). This is based on a mostly energetic form of Magick combined with Reiki and doesn’t involve too many additional components. You will, however, want to be versed in how to create your own Reiki spells.
Writing your own spells is easier when you think of them as intentions that you want to manifest into reality. Which is why I refer to my spellcasting as “Reiki spell intentions”. Reiki spell intentions are the parts where you work on the wording and how to craft your spell.
My goal with Reiki spell intentions is to craft a word, phrase, or saying, bring it into existence by writing it down, then meditate upon it. During the entire process I am channeling energy from the Earth and Reiki Universal Energy.
The ability to craft your own Reiki spells gives you an advantage over “ready made” spells you can find in other places. You will be putting your own emotion and energy into the spell and imbuing it with Reiki. Through the process of its unique creation it will be special and meaningful to you, and that is the secret of casting successful Reiki spells.
There are different ways to set up the wording of your Reiki spell intentions. They can be as simple as a sentence or two. A few lines crafted with care, or rhyming couplets. Your intention spell can be eloquent and lengthy prose to charge it with the energy, or, simply the use of repeating or chanting a single word over and over again as though it were a mantra.
I often craft one to two sentences and then use them as a mantra to meditate on. At a certain point my Rspell, during my meditative state, takes on a life of its own and feels ready to be cast. The entire time I was meditating and stating the Reiki spell, I was also sending continuing to send Reiki.
When the Reiki spell is ready to be cast, I push it out through my hands. As it’s leaving me and going into the Universe, I then wish it a safe journey, and thank the energies.
Now, here are the things you will want to do while creating your Reiki spell intention. Begin by writing down what outcome you want from this spell intention. How do you want this outcome to happen? What are some keywords that you think of when you visualize this Reiki spell intention manifesting? Make sure to write down an outline for the spell intention on paper so you won’t forget anything. Keep writing, even if in the beginning it appears chaotic or disjointed, as long as it is coming from your heart, and is for a heartfelt desire that you have, then you are on the right path.
When you have finished your Reiki spell intention, have turned it into a Reiki spell and sent it out into the Universe then write it down. I have a Reiki Grimoire, which is just a really cool journal with drawings of fungi, trees, and plants on the cover. Record the results of your spell, and any feelings you had while casting it in your journal or Grimoire. Wait and see how (or if) it manifested and write down that too.
Revise the Reiki spell intention as necessary, as you figure out what went right and what went wrong.
