The Ascended Masters Series – Aengus

Aengus is a Celtic God of romantic/soul mate love. I first learnt about him while working with the card deck ‘Ascended Masters’ by Doreen Virtue. In the early days of working with this deck, I kept pulling the ‘Aengus’ card. Initially, I had a hard time figuring out the significance of this card. Over time, I understood that this card was of relevance to my relationship with myself and with my partner. The fact that it kept coming up repeatedly was sign enough that it had a significant message for me. Not knowing how to start, I began working with this Master and allowed things to unfold as they must.

Over several months of working with his energy, I was led to heal some blocks to true love. I had to undergo a transformation much like a caterpillar turns into a butterfly in order to experience the depths of love. I had to learn to love unconditionally and accept my partner exactly as he is. And more importantly, I also had to love and accept myself exactly as I am. Connecting with Aengus made this journey easier.

In order to experience great romantic love, we must first open up to loving ourselves. When we love ourselves, our relationships with our partners begin to reflect that love back. And for those who are single, it can help them find partners who will share unconditional love with them.

Working with Aengus

1. Light a candle that is pink in colour (pink is the colour of love).
2. Burn some incense if you wish to.
3. Have a picture of Aengus in front of you (you can view it on the web). If you have the card deck “Ascended Masters”, pick the Aengus card from the deck and place it before you. Alternately, just write the name ‘Aengus’ on a piece of paper and have it before you. Intend to connect with his energies and it will be done.
4. If you are married or in a committed relationship, visualise your partner standing before you. If you are single and looking for a partner, see an image of your future partner before you.
5. Now request Aengus to shine his light into the space between you and your partner, with the request that it helps your relationship blossom and escalate to greater heights of love and romance. Ask that your heart be healed so you may fully open up to the joy of romantic love . Ask that you are able to see the divine light shining within your partner and that you connect with him or her from that level always. Give Aengus the permission to help your relationship with his energies and then let go, allowing the energy to work as it needs to.
6. If you are single, ask that you heal your heart first so you may then enter into a new relationship with an open heart. This will also help you find a partner whose heart is open. The best relationships happen when both partners are balanced, feel comfortable being who they are and have an open heart chakra.
7. Express your gratitude to Aengus.
8. To stay longer in this energy field, place your oracle card or the piece of paper on which you wrote ‘Aengus’ under your pillow when you sleep. This will help you stay connected with his energy for longer periods and bring about profound healing.

Connect with Aengus for at least a fortnight and witness the healing that occurs. Thereafter, connect with him whenever your love life needs a boost!
