In the previous articles, “Unveiling Japanese Techniques – Part I and II,” we explored the Japanese techniques that accompany Reiki, including the well-known Kenyoku. In this third installment, we will delve into four more techniques that can be incorporated into your Reiki practice, allowing you to achieve deeper and more transformative results. These techniques are highly valuable for their effectiveness in enhancing the therapeutic effects of Reiki and promoting complete energetic balance.
Koki Ho: Healing with Breath
The Koki Ho technique focuses on healing through conscious breathing and the utilization of Reiki symbols. It is particularly effective for addressing specific areas of the body that require attention. This technique harnesses the power of Reiki energy transmitted through the practitioner’s breath. The following steps outline the process for practicing Koki Ho:
Procedure:
- Begin by mentally tracing the CKR symbol with your tongue against the roof of your mouth as you take a deep breath.
- As you exhale, gently blow over the specific part of the body you wish to treat, visualizing the CKR symbol being projected onto that area.
- While performing the technique, visualize the symbol penetrating the targeted body part, allowing Reiki energy to flow and heal that specific area.
- Continue inhaling and exhaling while projecting the CKR symbol onto different parts of the body that require attention, using your intuition and inner wisdom to guide the healing process.
Gyoshi-Ho: Healing with Gaze
The Gyoshi-Ho technique focuses on healing through the power of gaze and the projection of energy from the eyes. While we are accustomed to using our eyes to look outward, this technique teaches us to utilize them as a powerful tool for channeling and directing Reiki energy. The following steps describe how to practice Gyoshi-Ho:
Procedure
- Begin by softly focusing your gaze on the specific part of the body you wish to treat, allowing your eyes to slightly defocus.
- Instead of actively looking, try to allow the image of the person or the body part you wish to heal to penetrate through your eyes.
- Observe how an energetic connection is formed between you and the other person as you allow the energy to flow through your eyes.
- During the practice, project Reiki symbols onto the targeted body part, visualizing how the energy flows and heals that specific area.
- Follow the flow of energy and allow Reiki’s intuitive wisdom to guide your focus and treatment.
Reiji-Ho: Reiki Power Indication Method
Reiji-Ho is a technique performed before giving a conventional Reiki treatment, helping to identify areas that require greater attention. This technique relies on intuition and energetic guidance. Follow the steps below to practice Reiji-Ho:
Procedure
- Place your hands together at heart level and establish a connection with Reiki energy, allowing it to flow through you.
- Direct your attention toward the recipient’s healing and well-being on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
- Place your hands on the recipient’s third eye, focusing deeply and allowing the energy to guide you to areas that need attention and healing.
- Let your mind be blank, open, and receptive to the intuitive signals that will indicate where to begin the Reiki treatment.
- Once you have received the intuitive indication, proceed with the conventional Reiki treatment, channeling the energy toward the identified areas during Reiji-Ho.
Remember to follow your intuition and allow Reiki energy to guide the entire healing process.
Hesso Chiryo: Navel Treatment
The Hesso Chiryo technique focuses on the navel as a key energy center in the body. This technique is used to relax blocked areas in the solar plexus and harmonize the internal energy with the heartbeat. Follow the steps below to practice Hesso Chiryo:
Procedure
- Allow Reiki energy to flow inward toward the navel, directing it to the solar plexus and establishing harmony between the heartbeat and internal energy.
- Maintain your focus on the navel and allow Reiki energy to work in relaxing blocked areas and restoring balance in the solar plexus.
- Continue allowing the energy to flow for approximately five to ten minutes, feeling how harmony and relaxation spread throughout the body.
These four Japanese Reiki techniques offer additional powerful approaches to energetic healing. By incorporating these practices into your Reiki repertoire, you can expand your therapeutic abilities and promote deeper balance on all levels of being. Remember to practice with respect, love, and compassion, allowing Reiki energy to flow through you for the well-being of all.
With love and gratitude.
