The fire serpent symbol is a powerful element in the Tibetan tradition that has multiple names, such as Mae Loong and Ningiszida. In my experience as a Usui Reiki practitioner, I have learned that this symbol can be used for various purposes, such as preparing the student’s aura before attunements, balancing the chakras during Reiki sessions, and awakening Kundalini energy in individuals.
The process of awakening Kundalini energy is a fascinating and complex aspect of Reiki practice. Kundalini energy originates in the Root or Muladhara Chakra and moves through the other chakras via two channels, called Ida and Pingala. By balancing these energies, the fire serpent symbol helps to unlock and awaken Kundalini energy, which can have transformative effects on the person who experiences it.
Furthermore, the fire serpent symbol also activates Reiki energy along the spine and improves the energy flow through meridians and nadis. In this article, we will explore in more detail two practical uses of the fire serpent symbol in Reiki practice.
Balancing Chakras
Balancing Chakras is a fundamental process in the practice of Reiki, which allows us to release blocked energy and restore balance in our body and mind. To begin, it is important to connect with the energy of Reiki and set a clear intention to cleanse and purify each of the Chakras.
- In each of the Chakras, you should place the symbols CKR – HSZSN – SHK – CKR with the intention of cleaning and purifying the energy. Place each symbol in its corresponding Chakra, visualizing how the energy is released and flows harmoniously. Each person’s intuition may guide the choice of the order in which to work on the Chakras, but it is common to start from the Root Chakra and work upwards.
- Once all the Chakras have been cleansed and purified, we can use the symbol of the fire serpent to further balance the Chakras and activate Kundalini energy. To draw this symbol, begin by tracing the upper horizontal arc above the head, and then continue descending to the crown Chakra. From there, draw a meandering path that descends through the third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, and sacral Chakra. After the stroke passes through the sacral, begin a spiral whose center is the Root Chakra.
- When you have finished drawing the symbol, introduce it by naming it three times, allowing its energy to penetrate deeply.
Technique to improve the circulation of vital energy
During some Reiki sessions, you may feel that the energy is not flowing properly, either in yourself or in the person you are treating. In these cases, you can use the technique of the symbol of the fire serpent, which helps to open the aura so that it is more receptive to the energy of Reiki.
To apply this technique, start the Reiki session as usual. Then, draw the symbol of the fire serpent crossing all the Chakras as explained before, and continue sending Reiki as you would normally do. If you feel that there is an energy blockage in any specific position, you can insert the symbol of the fire serpent in that place before continuing with the session.
At the end of all positions, close the session by drawing the symbol of the fire serpent crossing all the chakras again, as explained before, with the intention of ending the Reiki session properly.
Whether you seek to balance your chakras or improve access to the energy of Reiki, this symbol can help you unlock and transform the energy in your body.
Infinite love.
