I am Grateful for my gift of Reiki. I wish I could wave my hands and there could be more togetherness and less anger in the world. A world with people living peacefully while caring and sharing. I know I am a dreamer, but my optimism has gotten me through many, many difficult times in my life.
I know I am not alone feeling frustrated sad and helpless. Crying and praying for those suffering while feeling inadequate to resolve anything. Through it all I always come back to Reiki. Believing that we all wish for a peaceful world. I know we are doing things that we feel can help, but also face the realization we are not in a position to truly change it.
Wait a moment, we may not know how it will change all that is happening, but we know that Reiki can perform miracles and healing. I believe we have nothing to lose and all to gain by incorporating Reiki into our intentions and prayers for peace. Keeping it simple and letting it flow, I believe Reiki is capable of healing and resolving things beyond our imagination.
I do self Reiki and meditation every day. I’ve decided to put some time aside for a session with Reiki beyond my surroundings and long distance where there is a need. The idea is to put positive loving energy into the universe. If we all do this, even at different times during the day or night, all that positive Reiki energy can perform miracles of peace. It can also contribute to ending the division of ideas and begin the co-operation among others.
One example session could be sitting quietly beneath the sunny sky or a star lite night. Take a moment to ground yourself. Set an intention and visualization for peace and the bringing together of people. Open your arms with hands facing up to the sky. Allow the Reiki healing energy float upward while you visualize your intention. Let love kindness and peace sprinkle over the earth. Draw the Reiki symbols upwards and end it with a message for peace.
This example may give you an idea on how you wish to conduct your session. You can include a poem, music as well as angel and spirit guide messages. Let the long distance peace healing expand and be whatever it is meant to be with the flow of Reiki energy. Poetry helps me to express my feelings and messages. The following is my poem for Hope for Peace:
Hope For Peace
Peace seems to be slipping away in our world
civility and kindness – love of life disappearing
no this cannot be, we must not accept it
stand strong for life and a peaceful co-existence
We must find a way for all to live free
honor and love people whoever they may be
not allowing this insanity continue to exist
let us cry out with hope that it ends
A peaceful time seems to be out of reach
what can be done to eliminate what divides
bringing together people on both sides
let it start with each of us today
love and kindness to each person we meet
Let our collective peaceful energy rise up
the winds carrying the energy across the earth
lingering over places in need of peace and love
allowing the energy to heal where in need
Several places need peace in many ways
one in particular calls out in great pain
hear us above the roar of tanks and shelling
let the horror end now across the land
Believe the power of prayer and healing energy
let bells ring and music blare showing we care
the sound of peace ringing through the land
showing everyone how strong we stand
Draw family, friends and community close
sharing your desire for peace and love
praying and calling upon healing energy
shout out we must to let it be known
we shall never accept less than
HOPE AND PEACE FOR ALL

Let us spread love kindness and peace. Take time to greet a friend, smile and say hello to a stranger, give to the homeless, share an act of kindness and let someone know you care. It can begin with you and me and spread around the world. We each can make a difference in our own special way and with the help of Reiki.
