Good sleep is essential to maintain optimal health and greatly affects our moods and daily performance, however in today’s fast-paced world many people suffer with different kinds of sleep disorders. These include insomnia, sleep apnea, parasomnia and many others. This can be attributed to several factors including prolonged exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) from our digital devices and wifi connections. This is further compounded by increased stress, unhealthy dietary patterns and the consequent imbalance in our energy chakras. This is where Reiki offers the promise of acting as a panacea, if used properly.
Herein I walk you through a few simple steps you can take to channel Reiki energy towards getting improved sleep and hence better states of mind.
- Prepare your bedroom: Make sure there are no cluttered clothes and no digital devices in your bedroom. If you wish to retain mobile phones in the bedroom, then try to switch off your internet connection before you sleep. Draw and embed the Reiki symbol 1 in the air towards the four walls, ceiling and the floor. You may also use an incense stick or burning sage to magnify the cleansing effect of Reiki. Keep dispersing the smoke in all directions of the room while you do this.
- Use crystals for sleep: Crystals have their own vibrations and that’s why each crystal has its own unique properties. Many crystals have calming properties and assist in promoting good quality sleep. Cleanse and charge the crystals using the symbols you are attuned to and set the intention of wonderful and refreshing sleep. Then keep them by the bedside table and lie down to relax.
- Self-Reiki for sleep: It would be best to work on all the seven chakras if you have the time. But in case you want to focus on certain areas, it would help too. Invoke your Reiki energy and intuitively place your hands on your body wherever you feel. Reiki helps to alleviate pain and bring comfort. Activate Reiki symbols 1 and 2 and Karuna Reiki® symbols of Zonar and Halu, beaming Reiki wherever you want to ease the pain. Within no time, you will slip into a deep state of calm and will fall asleep. It would be best to avoid Reiki symbol 4 as it has a very high frequency and might disturb your sleep.
Reiki has all the power to restore your quality of sleep and hence enhance your emotional vitality. Tap its power and experience the magic of feeling rejuvenated, recharged and invincible every morning. This is exactly what deep and restorative sleep helps you achieve.
