The Soul Star chakra is one of the transpersonal chakras, lying outside the physical body. It is located above the head and is the gateway through which the life force or ‘prana’ enters into the physical body through the Crown chakra. It is the merger between our temporal and non-temporal existence and it is through this point that the Divine energy spreads into and nourishes all other chakras. It helps to connect us with the universal consciousness as in states of deep meditation or trance. It is our link with our non-physical Self and when the energy flow through this connection is completely disrupted, death happens for the physical body.
Imbalances in the Soul Star Chakra
The Soul chakra being located outside the human body, is not connected to any endocrine gland and therefore the effects of imbalances/blockages are more subtle and a bit difficult to demarcate. For most people, even the idea of connecting to the universal consciousness or divine energy is an alien concept. So the Soul Star chakra is compromised for most people. If you are spiritual and trying to escape the material world, as in feeling out of place, you might have an overactive Soul Star chakra. On the other hand, if you are over-anxious, too cynical and cannot surrender to the Divine plan, you might have an underactive Soul Star chakra.
How to activate the Soul Star Chakra
- Meditation: Meditation is the best way to activate your Soul Star Chakra. It helps to enhance your concentration, dissolve the unwanted mental chatter as well as connect with higher beings, and angels and receive their guidance in the form of intuition.
- Prayer: Prayer brings you in a state of awareness, silence, trust and surrender. A sincere heart and a surrendered mind is all you need in order to pray. You don’t even need a sophisticated or well written prayer to connect. Just pray spontaneously to the True Self and it will bestow its gifts on you.
- Reiki: Purify, activate and charge the Soul Star chakra with the Reiki symbols (Power Symbol, mental/emotional healing symbol) as you would with other chakras.
- Let go: Many times, the key to success is in surrendering to the Divine Power to bring the best outcome. It is sufficient to do your karma and not to overthink or worry about the outcome because that gets in the way of success. For more details, please refer to my previous article ‘3 Keys to Success’.
The Soul Star chakra is all about integration between our physical and non-physical identities. When you activate and balance this chakra, you experience a greater sense of purpose, and a deep and meaningful connection between you and the Universe. As Rumi puts it “You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.”
