Four Mysteries of Reiki

I consider Reiki to be one of the most beautiful mysteries of this world. And I love keeping it that way!

The answer I give to people who struggle to make rational sense of Reiki is – “It may be best to view Reiki as belonging to the realm of the mystical!”

We live in a multi-dimensional Universe of which the human experience forms just one speck. Human intelligence is a great force. However, we must remember that even this intelligence has sprung forth from the realm of the unknown or the mystical.

The Universe is an intelligent mystery with a life force of its own. Scientific breakthroughs and discoveries help bring in a deeper understanding of the cosmos and they are indeed a great gift. However, that is one side of the coin. The other side of the coin involves going within to touch the realm of mystery. And to extract answers and insights from within oneself.

Here are four reasons why I believe Reiki is a sweet and sacred mystery-

1. Reiki cannot be seen but can be felt.  Even someone who is new to the world of energy healing stands a great chance of experiencing the loving space that Reiki offers. Many people who experience Reiki for the very first time report feeling sensations of warmth, tingling or of being engulfed in a cocoon of energy.
2. Reiki is an intelligent energy. It knows where to flow, how much to flow and for how long to flow. A practitioner does not need to manipulate the flow of energy but can instead just act as a conduit for the energy to flow through.
3. With almost zero touch, Reiki is able to induce feelings of wellness and deep relaxation in the recipient. It is able to help one feel refreshed and recharged, simply through the act of basking in it. Reiki is equivalent to an “Energy Spa!”
4. The Reiki attunement is a magical experience for both the teacher and the student. The energy field that is created during an attunement enables a swift activation of the student’s connection to Ki (life force energy). How all of this happens is incomprehensible to the human mind. But the higher mind is able to grasp the sanctity of the attunement experience.

Reiki is a sacred mystery that has the potential to create a beautiful and peaceful Planet Earth!
