Reiki Shower Sessions

Do you ever feel like there just isn’t enough time to fit in self-Reiki treatments? I think we have all been there. Life just seems to get in the way, and we end up putting off self-care activities until there is more time. I have discovered many ways to fit a little Reiki into my day here and there. One of my favorites ways is to perform Reiki Shower Sessions.

To perform a Reiki Shower Session, begin by drawing the Power Symbol, Harmony Symbol, Connection Symbol, and Power Symbol again on the shower head, saying the name of each symbol three times as you draw it. Then imagine a beautiful Reiki filled light pouring down with the shower water and washing over you.

Imagine the light become bright red. It fills your body all the way down to your Root chakra. When it gets to the Root chakra the light swirls back and forth cleaning out any negative, excess, or stagnant energy. When the Root chakra is clear and bright the light travels down the rest of the body and all unwanted/unneeded energy goes down the drain.

Now imagine the light become a fiery orange. It fills your body down to your Sacral chakra. When it gets to the Sacral chakra the light swirls back and forth cleaning out any negative, excess, or stagnant energy. When the Sacral chakra is clear and bright the light travels down the rest of the body and all unwanted/unneeded energy goes down the drain.

The light now become a bright sunny yellow. It fills your body down to your Solar Plexus chakra. When it gets to the Solar Plexus chakra the light swirls back and forth cleaning out any negative, excess, or stagnant energy. When the Solar Plexus chakra is clear and bright the light travels down the rest of the body and all unwanted/unneeded energy goes down the drain.

The light will now turn to a vibrant green. It fills your body down to your Heart chakra. When it gets to the Heart the light swirls back and forth cleaning out any negative, excess, or stagnant energy. When the Heart chakra is clear and bright the light travels down the rest of the body and all unwanted/unneeded energy goes down the drain.

Now the light is a bright shining blue. It fills to your Throat chakra. When it gets to the Throat chakra let the light swirls back and forth cleaning out any negative, excess, or stagnant energy. When the Throat chakra is clear and bright the light travels down the rest of the body and all unwanted/unneeded energy goes down the drain.

Next, the light will become a deep indigo. It fills you to your Third Eye chakra. When it gets to the Third Eye chakra the light swirls back and forth cleaning out any negative, excess, or stagnant energy. When the Third Eye chakra is clear and bright the light travels down the rest of the body and all unwanted/unneeded energy goes down the drain.

Finally, the light become a violet purple. The light enters your Crown chakra and it swirls back and forth cleaning out any negative, excess, or stagnant energy. When the Crown chakra is clear and bright the light travels down the rest of the body and all unwanted/unneeded energy goes down the drain.

End the session by giving gratitude to Reiki and to the cleansing water.

Because of the excess water used for the Reiki Shower Session, I do not do it often. I reserve it for particularly hard or stressful days or for when I am feeling ill. It always leaves me feeling refreshed and energized and reduces any soreness or symptoms of illness I’m feeling. I would love to hear about your experiences with it.
