In my work as a member of the clergy, I facilitate a Healing from Narcissistic Abuse support group for the victims of narcissists. In this large and active group, I use my training as a Reiki Master Teacher very frequently. Reiki is an incredibly useful tool for helping these members heal from the trauma and abuse that they have suffered at the hands of narcissists.
Narcissistic abuse is a very devastating form of abuse that gets down deep into the subconscious of the victim and causes them to question everything about themselves. Quite often, the victim decides to take the very serious step of going “no contact” with their abuser. In this way, they can give themselves the space to heal away from toxic individuals. Learning Reiki is an incredibly effective way to support the victim in their quest for peace.
The concept of “no contact” has shown itself to be a very effective tool in healing from Narcissistic Abuse. No contact is usually used when there is simply no other way to deal with the soul crushing abuse of a narcissist, which eventually causes the victim to question every single thing about themselves. Victims can often feel suicidal because they literally think that there is no other way out. No contact gives the victim their life back, but can be very difficult to accomplish, as narcissistic abusers are frequently very close to the victim. Friends, family, spouses or co-workers can all be narcissistic abusers. When a person goes no contact with their abusers, quite often their entire world needs to be rearranged. This is where Reiki comes in!
The beauty of Reiki is in its simplicity. It is very easy to use our knowledge of Reiki to help the members of a support group in a variety of ways. Here are a few ideas that I have found effective.
Use Simple Reiki style meditations to help your members find peace and calm in the middle of a crisis
One of my favorite easy healing meditations is to simply have the members shut their eyes and then think of their entire bodies as hollow. Then, using their imaginations, get them to breathe in through their nose, filling their body up with the white healing light of the Universal Life Force, and have them imagine that this loving, healing energy is cleaning and perfecting all of their cells. When they exhale through their mouths, get them to picture that the stress and tension are leaving their bodies in an imaginary puff of smoke. Get them to do this inhale/exhale meditation a few times, and the last time, get them to imagine that the white healing light is surrounding them in a protective orb of positive spiritual energy. This simple meditation has helped so many of my support group members and students because it is easy to understand and perform. Try it yourself and see!
Send the Reiki Symbols to help victims in their road to no contact
After getting permission, send the Reiki symbols, by distance, to the member that is in crisis during their set up of no contact with their abuser. No contact can be incredibly difficult to launch, because the abuser can be someone who is in the victim’s day to day lives. Support group members require extra spiritual support at the time of launching no contact, and distance Reiki can help so much in making the right decisions and staying strong during this phase of healing from Narcissistic Abuse.
Teach the members of your support group Reiki
If your members are receptive, suggest that they learn Reiki from you, and get their attunements and certification. The benefits of learning Reiki and using it to do daily self-healing as well as sending the symbols to difficult situations that arise cannot be overstated. I have seen miracles in member’s lives when they learn Reiki. As they heal themselves with the beautiful Reiki energy, they see that they are a worthwhile, spiritual person who is in charge of their lives and their healing. They learn to eliminate toxic individuals from their lives, and how to maintain “no contact” with their narcissistic abusers. Once this is done, life opens up to these members and the beauty of living in the “divine flow” becomes something that they treasure and defend at all costs. Reiki gives members of support groups the spiritual strength that they need to make their dreams of peace and happiness into reality. What a beautiful and important use for Reiki! Try it with any support group that you are involved with, and see for yourself.
Reiki is a powerful healing language that we all can share for the betterment and healing of humanity.

Can reiki given from distance heal a narssast
I was born into a narcissistic environment and have experienced narcissistic abuse all my life in many ways, shapes and forms. I do not know life without this kind of abuse. Years ago, I became involved in Reiki and other new age practices in an effort to find peace and protection during a time where I was being constantly bullied, harassed and stalked by certain narcissistic individuals. I had been raised a Christian since childhood and believed in Jesus Christ but was dealing with extensive church hurt due to having been abused by narcissists in the church and so I did not want anything to do with my Christian faith.
I thought that Reiki could help me and, for a time, I believed the lie that it was. But it was not. Reiki is a dangerous and deceptive practice that makes people spiritually vulnerable. It turned my focus away from the God that truly had the power to change my circumstances. Narcissistic abuse is difficult and painful, but it is not above the power of Jesus Christ. If you need peace and protection from this kind of abuse, turn to Jesus. Read your Bible. Pray to Him. You will find what you need. ❤️
