Daily Living with Reiki

Article by Naveeta Singh

Life is easy, life is difficult, but life is never the same every day. Yet there are small things which are a part of life and small struggles we have to bear while going through our routine. These small bumps in the road can easily throw us off guard for some time. But fear not! Reiki is here to take care of our everyday challenges.

Earlier I thought Reiki is just for healing ourselves and others physically, emotionally and spiritually. But through small experiments, I learned that it can help us with our daily routine. A first-hand experience I had on October 28 when my bathroom was choked and the water did not clear up. I used all the tricks I could to get the water moving but failed.

I have picked up a good habit from my husband. He says that if you are unable to solve a problem, just leave it for some and then again attempt the solution. I left the bathroom for half an hour and again went to give it a try. I had a Eureka moment when a thought clicked in my mind. ‘Give Raku to the drainage pipe.’ Raku is a Reiki third level symbol known to clear the path.

I drew Cho Ku Rei on the mouth of the drainage, gave Raku and intended that the water has cleared and sealed it with Cho Ku Rei. Then programmed that the pipe receives this Reiki for the next 12 hours. After 15 minutes I went back to the bathroom and saw that the water did clear up.

Similarly, every day we meet many people, some we like, some we do not, and some we dread. Meeting the dreaded ones leave a bad taste in our mouth. But these psychic vampires refuse to leave us alone and want to meet us outside or visit our homes. For such people, Sei He Ki is my go-to tool. Whenever I hear that they are going to visit me, I give Sei He Ki to their Third Eye chakra and voila! I get to know that they have canceled the trip.

Moreover, we can also use Sei He Ki to connect with someone. For instance, my phone broke down and I was using a basic mobile handset which did not have WhatsApp. It was important for me to speak to this person but his number was stored in my ‘broken’ handset. I sent him a message through the Facebook messenger from my laptop to call me, but somehow he was not responding. It was urgent to speak to him. So as a last resort I gave Sei He Ki to his Third Eye chakra and intended that he calls me back. In an hour he did call me and my work was done.

Besides daily self-healing, Reiki has become my favorite tool to solve problems. I am amazed every time I experiment with it.
