Article by Phillip Hawkins

Phillip Hawkins Reiki Personal Development Medicinal ‘’Pick n Mix’’
Take two twice daily until your condition improves

Mastery requires clarity before skills can develop
Saying No is always an option. Sometimes it becomes a necessity

The key to repetition is to keep doing it
The key to success is to know what to start, and what to stop doing

Progress comes from little steps, not giant leaps
You don’t need anyone’s permission to love yourself

Your shit life, is one other people pray for
Life finds its own balance even when you can’t

People aren’t thinking of you anywhere near as much as you think they are
Being good is a personal choice; don’t expect praise or rewards for being nice

Attitude is the only thing you have absolute control over
Life isn’t shit; it just indifferent to what you think about it

Life makes you a promise it never breaks
Once is a mistake, twice becomes a choice, and three times becomes a habit

A difficult choice gets harder to make the longer you leave it
Lies need to be accepted; truth doesn’t give a shit

The relationship with yourself is often the most neglected
If we don’t set our self worth, others will based on their value of us

If you have to ask for respect you could be talking to the wrong person
Think, then believe, before you know it, you will understand

Mastery requires clarity before skills can develop

Every decision and action is a statement of who you are, regardless of what you say
You don’t find happiness; you create it through your thoughts, beliefs and actions

A change of mind will always create a change in what we can achieve
How we feel is a truth often denied

Ego is the confusion that spirit seeks to calm and heal
The moment we label anything we define, limit and restrict it

Only spirit in its infinite wisdom knows when the final grain of sand will fall
Talk is cheap when the words you use have no value or meaning

If your life is shit look to yourself, not others to fix it and put it right
A work in progress is no excuse for being a dick. One is a process the other is a choice

Blessings are three fold; known, unknown, and the ones taken for granted
Spiritual bullshit is still bullshit; no matter how hard you polish a turd, it’s still a turd

The personal barriers we are unaware of are the ones that restrict us the most
Gratitude no matter how small is the language the universe understands and responds to

Personal responsibility can never be given, it can only be accepted
A fool is a wise man until he opens his mouth. A wise man knows silence speaks volumes

The desire to be loved by others is always in relation to our ability to love ourselves
The hurt we feed can never be sedated, it can only be healed

The fool asks, the student learns but the Master simply remembers
The universe, the ultimate teacher; it never gives homework but no lesson goes unlearnt

A shortcut or easy option saves time but sacrifices the experiences to be learnt from
If you need to prove your love you may need to check your partners love default settings

Anger is a high octane emotion; great power, but must be controlled and handled with care
The darkness we fear hides the greatest treasure, knowledge, and understanding of self

A Reiki practitioner since 1999, Phillip started teaching Reiki in 2000 and using those skills and abilities he has spent the majority of the last seventeen years working with a wide range of social and educational needs including Autism and ADHD. Working with addicts dependent on alcohol and drugs, people whose lives were extremely violent and abusive, and others who had to deal with severe mental health issues. This has enabled him to work extensively in the private sector, schools, colleges, education and care in the community, the prison service and psychiatric units.

In 2016, Phillip decided to semi-retire from full-time employment to concentrate on developing his career as a published author and the setting up of his Reiki personal development programme at the Chilton Community College.
