Weathering through the Storms of Life with Reiki

Article by Justine Melton

Everyone goes through dark times in life. It doesn’t matter who you are, if you manifest or how much toxicity you think you have cleansed right on out of your life. Some experiences come to us as lessons no matter what and we must get through them to move on to the next chapter in life.

The good news is that as Reiki practitioners we have the perfect tool to help us weather any storm. Any unwanted situation can be made easier by Reiki. Reiki is pure divine magic and such a gift to have.

How can Reiki help us navigate through any storm?

It is pure, truthful and loving energy that can heal anything and bring about the greatest good of any situation. There are several different ways to go about using Reiki to accomplish this. Please see the different methods below and pick whichever method speaks best to you to try!

Methods for weathering through the storms of life with Reiki:

  • Self-Reiki! I know this seems too good to be true but really it is as easy as doing a basic self-reiki session. At the beginning of your session when you set your intention simply state that you are happy that Reiki is showing you the way to weather the storm you are going through. You can also ask any other question that you like. Be open during the self-reiki session for any thoughts that pop into your head or if you suddenly have a deeper knowing or answer sometime later in your day. This is a truly amazing and simple exercise that I can’t say enough about.

  • Reiki Meditation! I am a very visual person and I love to meditate. It is one of my very favorite things to combine with Reiki and so amazingly powerful! In fact, at the next retreat I am a part of I plan to teach this and have it be broken into 3 parts. The first will be focused on gaining confidence with self-reiki. The second part will focus on gaining confidence with meditation. Finally, the 3rd part will be focused on combined Reiki Meditations. It is so simple and so very powerful. To start you set yourself up for a simple meditation with whatever music you like, whatever candle you like (if any), pick any space you like (indoor or out) and start your meditation. At the beginning make a large Cho Ku Rei symbol over yourself and state that you are happy that Reiki shows you the way to weather the storm you are going through. Then sit back, relax and have a peaceful 10min meditation. Notice any messages that come to you. It is that simple!
  • Group Reiki! I have to admit I personally prefer self-reiki over group reiki but preferences can be so different from individual to individual. I know many people that feel that group Reiki is more powerful for them. Please, trust yourself and do whatever works best for you! Group Reiki can be an awesome experience and brings you together for a common goal. Find some fellow Reiki lovers to do a group Reiki session with. Have everyone get comfortable and sit or lay in a circle. At the start of the session have one person state the intention is that the group be shown how to weather the storm they are going through. Then everyone simply does group Reiki on themselves for the pre-set specified amount of time. At the end, compare messages received with one another and see how many breakthroughs were made.

Reiki offers so much peace and can truly help you with any situation you may be having.
Give it a try and see what storm it may miraculously help you to get through.
