Today I want to do only one promise to myself, today I will master my emotions. We do this promise everyday with Reiki practice. How? We already know 5 principles of Reiki which says just for today “I will let go of anger”, “I will let go of worry”, “I will do my work honestly”, “I will be grateful” and “I will be kind to others”. Let’s understand how it is indirectly telling us to master the emotions and avoid any bad karma.
First principle talks about there is no more anger for today by me means you are going to be emotionally stable in any situation. You won’t express bad way even anything bad happened to you. This means if anything bad happens, you accept that is some past karma you are paying off and secondly, you are not creating any new karma by being stable at that condition. Additionally, when you decide not to react angrily, you avoid many upcoming troubles in the life. So, this principle teaches us to master one of the emotions which is anger.
The second principle says that there is no more worry for today. Worry is the biggest cause of stress and all other problems which may or may not happen, so if you do not worry about what is coming and giving your best efforts, then the result will be good for sure. Secondly, because of worry, you are bringing so many negative thoughts coming to your path and if you don’t worry then that negative pattern is stopped. Each thought is energy and you are sending energy by this way to the universe. Also, if you don’t worry means you are ready to accept the results and that means you are not over happen or sad when the result will appear. So, this way you are mastering other 2 emotions which are sadness and happiness and again not creating any more bad karma.
The third principle says to work with honesty and this actually helps to put your all efforts to the end result. Once you are working honestly towards your aim, dishonesty or cheating will be elapsed forever from your life. Those emotions only appear if you are constantly doing corruption or something wrong. Again, this is one of the principles to master your emotions which are not to suspect or to worry and teaches integrity which adds on positive karma.
The fourth principle talks about to be grateful for everything you have. This removes the emotions of lacking or having jealousy for someone else or competing negatively. Gratefulness is the best way to send positive vibrations to the universe and get more positive things in life. This is the best way to feel satisfy for what you have. Again, this helps to master the emotion of satisfaction with what you have and keeps you away from jealousy and feeling of lacking something.
And the final principle denotes to be kind with everyone. When you are kind to everyone, you are above from judging others based on race, money, character or any other thing. This brings humanity inside us and creates energy link to everyone. As we know, everything is energy and when we see everyone is connected by kindness, we are above segregation and dividing.
Overall, all the principles of Reiki guide us to master our emotions. And this is for the whole life and when you make any big goal, it seems very different so, in Reiki, we only make promises for today only. Secondly, when you are living as a mortal being, it is easier to make short promises to yourself then for whole life or for years. So, today I will master my emotions.
