Reiki Permission

As humans when we see someone who might need help, we may feel that we should help them.

This also may happen to us with Reiki, sometimes we may see some person who may need help and we know as Reiki practitioners that a Reiki therapy may help them improve their lives so, should we ask that person for permission for a Reiki session? Yes, always!

As Reiki practitioners sometimes it’s easy for us to want to give a session for those who need it, we are Reiki practitioners and it’s completely natural to us to want to help others improving their lives with Reiki, but there should be always a permission for that, because we should not interfere with other people’s learning process without their permission.

It could seem to be really easy helping others without their permission because by doing that we might think we are making their life-paths much easier, but what happens is the opposite. If they are not ready to move forward, if they are not ready to be free of that problem yet and we interfere without their permission or even without their knowledge we could be stopping them from learning something they may need to know later.

Let’s put it this way: Imagine there’s a person walking through a path, and he or she finds a rock in the middle of the way blocking the path so he or she stops walking to think about what to do, you want to help him or her so you move the rock out of the way so this person can keep walking. But later on the path, you see the same person with another rock this time a bigger one, and he or she doesn’t know what to do, maybe this person is just waiting for the rock to be moved away from the path by someone else just like before, so you do it again and again. Eventually this person is going to have to face a lot of huge rocks in the way without knowing what to do with them.

You may call the rock as you like: health problems, life issues or even karma. You must have the person’s permission to help. When you have permission, the person is aware that you are helping him or her, the person may even know what you are doing to help and most important, the person is ready to move forward, the person is learning or has learned everything he or she needed to know so far.

What you could do in the rock example is to approach the person and suggest solutions, tell him or her how they can solve their problem and how could you help them.

With Reiki you could start by giving them a sample session so they get to know Reiki and also know more about what Reiki and you can do for them, so when the right time comes if they feel it’s good for them they will come back to you for a Reiki therapy or session. When a person comes and asks you for a session, he or she has already agreed with the session!

Sometimes you may know people who are important to you and you want to help them but they have not agreed, so what could you do in a case like this? Is it possible to help them? Yes it is! And in cases like this one here is a little tip for you:

Do a distance Reiki session with HSZSN, SHK and CKR but instead of sending the energy directly to the person, send it to the person’s inner guide and let the guide to choose if the energy should go to the person’s body or not. In case the guide decides the energy should not go to the person, then let the energy flow to the Earth or back to the Universe.

This kind of patients are not very common, but it may happen to you so it’s better for you to know what to do.

Just remember, the correct Reiki session should have 2 things from the patient:

• Permission, to work with him or her – Without this the session is not recommended since It won’t be as good as one with permission.
• Payment, agreed with the patient – It must be fair and mustn’t be the reason for doing the therapy.

Keep up your Reiki practice and enjoy it. You may learn a lot while practicing Reiki, so let Reiki and your patients be your teachers!
