Overcome Your Fears with Reiki

I had many fears – at a conscious and subconscious level until Reiki found me. It happened in the most unexpected way, during a salsa dancing class. A man with bright eyes and shaggy hair, a friend with the dance instructor, entered the room and started moving graciously. His body seemed animated by a will of its own.

“He must have been doing this for ages,” we, the newbies, thought as we continued to do the footwork in the purest Tin Man style. To my surprise, he was a beginner, just like the rest of us. But he allowed his body to tune into the music and move. Even more astounding, though, was that he, a total stranger, knew about my mother’s heart condition.

“Come and see me. I can help you help your mother,” he said giving me his card. It was a plain piece of paper with a name and a phone number. I put it in my purse, and my Reiki journey began. I wanted to help my mother. But I was also hoping for some miraculous cure for my “one worry a day, keeps all the fun away” disposition I had in those days. My wish was heard. Not overnight, it took some time. It is still a work in progress. Reiki helped me to connect to my inner self and the Divine energy. Co-create my life instead of letting it happen to me. Overcome old fears – loneliness rejection, success, not being good enough, poverty, failure, commitment – and worry less. My life changed for the better. Little by little things I would have never believed within reach until that memorable dancing class, became reality. Getting my debut fiction book traditionally published by a British publishing house was one of them. And that’s because fears stand guard for all of the life’s treasures. They prevent us from connecting to the Universal love and opening our heart.

Spending daily quality time connecting to Reiki, in meditation, and Mother Nature is a first step to overcoming fears. These precious moments help us realize that there is nothing for us to be afraid of. The Universe loves us and needs us happy. Our spirit is eternal. It cannot be broken or destroyed.

Working with the Reiki symbols, when attuned to them, brings balance into our energy bodies, and heals old traumas. The process makes us less susceptible to outside influences and shields us against low-vibration energy. As I’ve mentioned before, overcoming fears is still an ongoing process for me. From the beginning of 2016 -which I decided it would be a year of love, I’ve been working mostly with the Karuna® Reiki symbols. You’ll understand why when I tell you that in Sanskrit Karuna® means unconditional love and compassion.

Zonar connects to Archangel Gabriel. I use it to clean the negative patterns embedded in the cells during the previous lifetimes. These patterns need to be removed because they are responsible for putting us on an autopilot. They generate reactions instead of conscious actions. Zonar can work on irrational fears such as fear of water, dogs, and so on.

Halu is a gateway to Archangel Raphael. Those who speak in public, work in sales and mass media, or are shy can use it to boost their self-confidence. This symbol strengthens the energy connections between the chakras thus allowing the energy to flow freely inside the body.

Harth – a symbol that connects to the healing energy of Mother Mary and Kwan Yin, improves self-esteem and assertiveness. It opens the heart to love. Where there is love, there is no fear. And vice versa.

Rama brings in the Archangel Michael‘s energy. It is of great use when going through transitions or changes (life partner, job, house, town) because it boosts the adaptability to new situations or environments.

Iava connects to the Earth Angels. When drawn on the chakras, this powerful symbol helps us regain our inner strength and detach from superstitions.

Last, but not least, Shanti – The Peaceful Path, is the remedy for worries, for a fast-forward elimination of fears. When drawn on the Third Eye, it boosts confidence – in life, and in oneself.

The daily use of these symbols will have more positive effects than those already mentioned. Although what more could we hope for than to live our days on Earth from a place of love?
