Reiki and “Mind over Matter”

How many of us have had the experience of absurd things happening in our lives after a Reiki attunement? The 21 days cleansing is a chaotic crazy time for most of us. While it gets rid of unwanted stuff from our lives, it also brings in gifts that are so needed to become a good healer.

The level 2 attunement starts opening our third eye which gives us more clarity on life, our thoughts and people. The attunement develops our psychic abilities, intuition etc. We can more easily ‘sense’ the Reiki energy than just channel it.

The definition of psychic powers or abilities would be the ability to sense, see, hear or know something that isn’t there and is not based on logic. I know many people who have developed various ESP (Extra Sensory Perceptions) skills because of Reiki. I have developed some skills too! Let us go through some of the skills that Reiki can develop in you. If you identify yourself having these below abilities, then you are already a successful practitioner.

1. Aura Reading

This is different from Byosen scanning. It is the ability to perceive or read auras around people and things. There are times when we instantly like or dislike someone not knowing why. That is because auras communicate with each other! You can perceive the energy around people and things, which gives you a “good or bad vibe.”

2. Clairvoyance

Also known as second sight. It is seeing visions of people, places, future that have no connection with reality. Sometimes, the images are symbolic. Let’s say, a Reiki healer is asked to predict a potential relationship between two lovers. If the healer is clairvoyant, he/she may see a cracked photo or a sinking ship. These images are symbolic, meaning the relationship might not last.

3. Clairaudience

Also known as second hearing. It is receiving messages from another dimension or realm. Sometimes, Angels and even spirits communicate with us this way. You may hear a voice in your ear and know someone is trying to communicate with you.

4. Psychic surgery

Most of us learn this in our third degree, but I have seen many people who are unable to perform proper psychic surgery. They particularly find the visualization part difficult. I think you need to be highly intuitive to perform psychic surgery.

5. Mediumship or Spirit Channeling

Communicating with spirits. This is a rare gift and people who have it are truly blessed. A lot of compassion, understanding and patience is required in this skill. Otherwise, spirits won’t approach you!

6. Cold Reading

This is also known as remote viewing. It is to read the body language of people and situations and get an idea about what’s happening with them. Not all people can read body language. Some are better at face reading.

7. Channeling

This is connecting or communicating with beings of a higher or lower dimension.. Connecting with Ascended Masters, Archangels would come under this. The challenge in this skill is to interpret the messages correctly.

8. Past life Regression

Accessing past lives is not so easy. But there are genuinely gifted psychics who can get into mediation and tell you about your past life.

9. Claircognizance

Also known as “clear knowing.” It is to know something correctly, without knowing how you know it. It is almost like information gets downloaded in you in a flash of a second. This is a great gift to possess.

These are just few of the psychic abilities I have discussed which definitely can be developed with or through Reiki. I know people who possess almost one or many of the above abilities and they have only learnt Reiki!

Some of you who are trying to fine tune your ESP’s may activate it this way. Write the ESP you want to develop in an intention slip. Connect with the distance symbol and Reiki it for a few days/weeks. Or, if you feel you are psychic but don’t know which is your ability, then the best way to do this would be viewing or scanning.

Get relaxed and state the intention to Reiki that you want to know what kind of psychic are you. Take a 360 degree view of your house from one place. It has to be a quick look sitting down. Do not pause anywhere. Then think about what you have just looked at and start writing. Write what you remember, the colors, sounds, instant information about something or someone. If you just sense the energy write that down as well. Go over your list after you have finished and you can’t remember anything else. See which of the points you have written are sight, sound, thought etc and place them in the psychic categories mentioned above.

There, you have it! All the tools pre exist, you just need to polish them! And remember to have faith in your conclusion and abilities!
