My name is Nina, from Alberta, Canada. I’m wondering how many angels you receive at each Reiki symbol attunement.

Hello,

This is Deborah Lloyd, from Reiki Rays. Thank you, Nina, for your question, as it is a common one. Reiki students often wonder what angels, or spirit guides, will be working with them, and some people may try to give an exact number. In my lineage, we were taught that each of us is connected to a Reiki Spirit Guide during the attunement process. This Guide works with us every time we do Reiki, but other spiritual beings may also join in the work.

When we examine our beliefs, we know that the Divine Source has no limitations. It is not important to know if we have one, or five, or two dozen spiritual beings with us during a Reiki session. What is important is the fact that we are a channel for Universal Life Force Energy that is loving, all-knowing and the Source of true healing. Any loving spiritual being that joins our work is truly a blessing.

Another consideration is that because angels and spirit guides have varying energetic vibrations, and therefore different effects in our lives, it is likely they connect with us when most needed. For example, I have a special Spirit Guide for writing, and she gives me guidance during writing times, but I do not sense her vibrations when I am doing other tasks. Sometimes, the angels and spirit guides “match” the energetic vibrations of the chakra, sending healing to that specific area.

It is always a good idea for all of us to become better informed about angels and spirit guides; there are many wonderful books, articles, websites, etc., available to us. The more we become familiar with these beings, the easier it becomes to sense their presence.
