“There is absolutely nothing that Reiki cannot help heal.”
This is one quote I came across and absolutely loved because it is so true. Reiki doesn’t just heal, it cares, loves and protects. Being a huge animal lover I will present to you how you can help animals through this wonderful energy.
I often see underfed oxen and horses being made to carry heavy loads. When I look at them, I always feel it has to do a lot with their past lives karma. You can connect to the animal using the distance symbol and draw the Karuna Reiki® symbol, Zonar. Request Reiki to heal the bad karma the soul (of the animal) has accumulated over the years for its highest good. When I see any animal in distress, I have a quick “chat” with the universe, asking the animal be forgiven and be blessed with a comfortable and happy life here on.
I have quite a few times come across little puppies and kittens with no one to care for them. They can easily get killed by bigger animals, from hunger or get hit by vehicles.
In such cases, you can follow these steps:
- Draw a proctective pyramid around them, and draw Reiki symbols your intuition guides you to at the apex and guide them into the pyramid and ask Reiki to keep flowing and protect and care for the animal. You can also draw the power symbol on the walls of the pyramid, intending that no harm comes to the animal.
- If you see or hear of an injured animal, and you cannot physically help, you can do the following. Invoke Reiki, and visualize that the animal has got help and is in safe hands. Even if nobody has actually helped it, the Reiki energy you sent will heal the animal and it will be fine.
- You do not have to necessarily come across an injured or starving animal to send them Reiki. Spare 5 minutes a day and send the loving energy to all the animals that need help, intending it is for their highest good.
One day, I was hurrying to work and saw a mother cow and her calf looking underfed. I wanted to feed them, but couldn’t. I did think about them when I was at work and hoped I would come across them later in the day. And that was exactly what happened! They were sitting on the street where I stay. I could feed them, something I wanted to do! This showed me that the universe works in beautiful ways.
Animals sense and feel energy as much as we do. There is one incident that I would like to mention here. One rainy day, right from my seat at my workplace, I saw a dog that looked weak and it was apparent he had some major skin problem. He had finally found a dry place to sit, but was unable to, probably because he was hurting. I kept looking at the dog, while in my mind lovingly telling him that he can sit. He kept trying little by little and finally could sit down. I think the dog sensed I was sending out positive, loving energy to him because he made eye contact with me. He then curled up and slept.
We live in a world where for the most part animals are treated badly. Instead of feeling helpless, we can allow Reiki to do its work on them, through us.
Animals are a part of mother earth, as much as we are. They are not our’s to conquer or hurt.

Its full of love and compassion, this article of yours. Only shows if we really want to do something, there is lots that can be done. Even by ‘talking to the Universe’, saying a little prayer, etc.
Beautiful.
God bless you.
Yes Vedant. Reiki is more compassionate when it comes to animals 🙂 I love Reiki all the more for that. 🙂 Thank you.
