Hello,
My name is Clare, I have a few questions I would like to ask.
The first one has to do with comments from clients after treatments. One client felt that the breath was taken from them in the solar plexus area. Can you explain this?
Another client felt that a vortex was opening inside, near the heart chakra.
Another client felt that a heavy weight was pressing on their back when giving Reiki.
I’m wondering if you have any answers to any of these questions, and Reiki practitioners’ experiences with clients’ questions would be much appreciated.

Hi, Clare.
This is Angie Webster with Reiki Rays.
It is really fascinating the various different ways that Reiki energy moves through each individual, working with their unique energy systems and their unique needs. What you are describing about your client’s differing experiences are the ways that they noticed the energy working within their systems to either remove blocks and stagnant energy that had built up or to begin opening new areas for more energy to flow in.
In each case that you describe, it sounds as if Reiki was working on a specific area very strongly, in a focused way. Remember that Reiki will not do any harm, so there is no need to worry. The experiences that we feel during Reiki are simply Reiki doing its work for us, shifting energy that needs to move and allowing better energy flow to come through. This feels very different to us sometimes.
It’s a good idea to inform new clients of the various things they may experience during Reiki, but also to inform them that they may feel other things that are unique to them and that whatever they experience is perfect for them at that time. Let them know that each time may be different and also tell them that if anything becomes uncomfortable in any way for them, to let you know so you can move on to another area.
