Sometimes, people wonder whether or not they can learn and practice Reiki. They heard or read about it in some context, and for some reason believe they have to do yoga, or to be able to meditate, or have some higher spiritual connection, as a prerequisite to learning.
Who can learn Reiki?
Short answer: Anyone!

Longer answer is that Reiki is a form of healing that is passed from the Teacher to the Student during the process of attunement. It is not dependent on the individual’s IQ, state of health, age, or even beliefs (one does not have to believe in Reiki in order for it to work).
It also does not require that one is able to meditate, sit, or stand in certain postures.
The ability to channel healing energy is acquired instantly with the attunement and does not require years of practice.
Therefore, anyone can learn Reiki!

The answer is quite simple indeed – anyone can do reiki. The most interesting part is that reiki works even if you don’t believe in it. I was fascinated at first when I learned this, but then realised reiki is like the Sun, or the Earth. Even if you don’t believe that they’re round, that they spin or that they exist at all (in an astronomical sense), their motion still influences the life cycle of Earth.
