From the Mayans to India, China, Greece, and Egypt, pentagram is one of the most persistent and potent symbol. Pythagoras stated five was the number of man, because of the fivefold division of the body, and the ancient Greek division of the soul. The five points of the pentagram each represent one of the five elements that make up man: fire, water, air, earth, and psyche.
Renaissance-era ritual magicians, like the Greeks, used the Pentagram as a microcosm of the human body. In the Jewish kabbalistic tradition, the pentagram represents the five upper sephiroth on the Tree of Life- five numbers, being indivisible by any but themselves, which represent pure archetypal forces: justice, mercy, wisdom, understanding, and transcendent splendor.
A pentagram is a five-pointed star with the lines connecting each point drawn through it. The pentagram appears in the natural world – Venus’ orbit makes a rounded pentagram, an apple when is cut cross-wise the seeds create a pentagram while the human figure also makes a pentagram. There are various other examples.
Pentagram and Reiki
Reiki is a healing modality based on intent where symbols amplify the intent and foster manifestation in miraculous ways.
- This symbol creates a very powerful protection for any animate object or to protect a room or your home from negative influences. To create a protection for a person you must send the symbol into the heart chakra. If the client is energetically weak, the symbol is placed into the Solar Plexus, Heart and Root chakra.
- It can be used for exorcism, spells, karma and clan cleaning and to return substances into other dimension where they belong. (Have a word with your Higher Self or that of the clients’ before using it for this purpose)
- Mentally draw the pentagram with an open fire well in the centre on the ground and place the situation over it. Channel Reiki to the situation you are cleaning, cover the pentagram well with the golden pentagram to seal the energies.

To use pentagram, one has to be attuned to Magic Reiki the eligibility for which is Master Usui Reiki or Master Kundalini Reiki.
Note:
There may be a lot of limited belief associated with the symbol, some belief might border into black magic. However, it is a request to all to use your intuition before driving into any conclusion not just with this symbol but with the plethora of information available online. Always have a word with your Higher Self. Rest assured since Reiki is all about intent, if we sincerely use it for good we will receive better.

Thank you for posting this info. Yes, thanks to Hollywood and horror movies there is a lot of negative ideas attached to this symbol. Also ignorance. The pentagram as your picture is a protection symbol, however inverted, with the point down, is connected to evil and black magick.

I took Level III Reiki Usui…and ART ( Advanced Reiki Training ), in person, and other Reiki modalities at a distance.
Now, you teach Magnified Reiki ? Is it a modality where a Reiki student has to go through this process : provoking an OBE so the astral body of the student leaves temporarily the physical body, then the physical body is cleansed, and after that the astral body of the student is brought back to his physical body…?
This is a technique Diane Stein describes in her book ” Essential Reiki “.
I cannot find a Reiki master to train me where this technique is taught. I myself have done astral projection without any training, for seven days in a row in the past… Now this technique would be very valuable to me to perefect my exits from my physical body, in other words, I would be able to control my OBEs in the future.
Also, I could use OBEs to heal people at a distance as when sending Reiki at a distance I would be there too performing the sintonizacion on Reiki.

Thanks for the great information. Please explain about the Star of David, or 6 point star, too. Isn’t it the symbol of Anahatha Chakra? What is its significance?
