When I learned Reiki it truly changed my life. It brought in so much good and helped me end so many things that were no longer working for me. It was an amazing thing to go through and I think one day may even make a great motion picture in Hollywood. ☺
One thing that I had not expected was something that happened to me a few years after learning Reiki. I had done self-reiki religiously every day for 2 years. Some days the sessions were full sessions and some days they were minis but none the less each day had self-reiki set aside.
As I progressed through many transitions while creating the life I wanted I began to have more and more of the life I had always hoped to have. I had two happy, healthy kids, had my own good health after battling health issues for years, was finally rid of a negative ex-spouse after a long 3 year divorce, had a new job that I loved and was in a romantic relationship with the man of my dreams.
Suddenly, out of nowhere I started to fear doing self-reiki. If Reiki had brought about all these changes in my life and I was finally happy would it still keep changing everything? I didn’t want to lose all the good things that Reiki brought in. Even though I was a Reiki Master I did not have complete trust in Reiki. I wanted to sit in my “safe” cocoon and just be still. I had had a long 15 years and just wanted a time out in happiness and peace. I stopped doing self-reiki for 3 months. While this might not seem like a long time to you it was a big deal to me after doing it every day for 2 years straight.
I’d like to have a dramatic ending and tell you that because I did this such and such happened. Well, here is the thing with Reiki. It is all knowing and is always for your greatest good. What I didn’t realize at the time was that it was simply allowing me the space I needed to complete the final transition to my new life. It showed me that although it was the primary force of bringing major changes into my life it was always there for my greatest good. What’s yours is yours and will not go past you. Reiki brings things in for the highest good and then it is up to you whether they remain or stay. Reiki taught me that I am the one truly responsible for keeping goodness in my life. Thank you Reiki.
Wishing you all love and light.
