How to Stay at a Higher Vibration

Change is something that comes marching in when Reiki enters your life. The more you allow change to occur and are accepting of it the easier it is. Change comes best when you jump into the flow of the changing events and flow with it rather than swimming up the current fighting everything that is a change for your greatest good. One of the most common changes that comes with Reiki is the change in your vibrational level in the Universe. Usually after each Reiki attunement you will move up to a different vibration but it can also happen at any time.

When you manifest one of the most important steps is to allow yourself to feel as if you already have what it is you desire. This is actually you feeling the vibrational level of what it is that you are seeking. You have to send out the vibration to get the vibration.

Being at a higher vibrational level means that you are operating at a more positive level and are radiating that positivity and goodness to the universe as well. Good things flow to you more freely and it is harder to upset you. Some people term moving up a vibration as moving closer to enlightenment.

One interesting thing that I have read over and over and have experienced first hand is that right before or after moving up a vibrational level you may feel like you are craving protein. It is believed that this occurs because your body needs the extra energy to make the jump to a new level. You may also notice that you suddenly need more sleep out of nowhere or that you are wanting to shed material possessions or things from different areas of your life that no longer suit you. If you happen to feel any of these know that it is quite common and that you are not alone. They are normal steps in a pretty incredible process.

Once you are at a new higher vibration you need to continue to live in a healthy manner in order to stay at the new higher state. Of course moderation in all things is important but overall it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle to aide you in your quest up the vibrational ladder.

Ways to move to or stay at a higher vibration:

  •  Reiki treatments (from others and/or daily self-reiki)
  •  Saying no to anything that doesn’t work for you
  •  Letting what doesn’t work in all areas of your life naturally fall away
  •  Surround yourself in positivity
  •  Eat a healthy diet full of fruits and vegetables and if you are a meat eater take note of how the animals were treated before and after they were killed. This can actually have quite an effect on the vibrational level of the meat you are eating. Also, chicken and fish have a higher vibrational level than red meat. A good rule is that if it has a hoof it is a lower vibration for you to consume.
  •  Listen to up lifting music
  •  Dance around your house… let loose
  •  Do any healthy activities that bring a smile to your face
  •  Exercise
  •  Laugh
  •  Let the sunlight hit your skin
  •  Meditate
  •  Keep a journal noting how different things AND people make you feel
  •  If you need to say something say it. Do not keep feelings bottled in. If you are not comfortable telling someone something write it down on a piece of paper and wait a few days. The sooner you get it out the better.
  •  Salt baths
  •  Keep high vibrational stones/crystals around you such as tanzanite and quartz.

This is a general list for everyone but what I recommend most is to keep a journal for a week or 2 and write down any little thing that you notice that makes you feel happy or sad. If it does not make you happy it needs to go! This will have amazing effects on every area of your life and will aide Reiki in bringing the highest good into your life.

    Good read and most helpful as per the protein intake. Reflecting back I myself have noiced an increase in protein rich foods at particular times. When I worked as a personal trainer I would get my clients to write a gratitude journal every night before bed. Its easy and most helpful for releasing stress as it focuses on the positive aspects of ones life. Just write down some things every night before bed that you are grateful for. Pretty simple

    Be present. Make love. Make tea. Avoid small talk. Embrace conversation. Buy a plant, water it. Make your bed. Make someone else’s bed. Have a smart mouth, and quick wit. Make art. Create. Swim in the ocean. Swim in the rain. Take chances. Ask questions. Make mistakes. Learn. Know your worth. Let go of what doesn’t make you happy. Grow.

    My husband used to make me happy. But not at the moment. We have created a wonderful life, but his presence in it is a negative one. I wonder if this is mostly my responsibility as I have wanted him to leave me alone since the birth of our daughter. He had to change a few things in his life to adapt to fatherhood. Most of the time I can see he is trying but occasionally he slips into old harmful habits I. E. Drinking. I am new to Reiki and don’t want to give up on my husband unecessarily, he finds life quite challenging due to some learning difficulties and ge does try. Do I accept this as a period of time that is part of natural relational development despite the absence of happiness? Any advice appreciated

    In June I entered Reiki 1. The “changes” are so pronounced & so real I can’t even begin to explain it. However, this write up is dead on in my opinion. I really plan on following the tips.

    The journal is a good idea but you need to burn it when you have finished( write & release)
    and turn it into positive( healing for the Earth, Healing for Animals & or people)
    By not burning you are hanging onto it, for the the vibration is hovering.
    Always think positive thoughts for they will manifest & so will negative, what we put out there does come back.

    Hi Suzanne.

    In my practice I do not recommend burning journals. They allow you to see how far you have grown years later among other things. In fact in Teiki classes I teach to always keep your journals. We believe that they carry whatever energy you give them. In other words if you feel they have a negative vibration they will. If you feel they are full of love and are helping you grow then they carry that vibration. Reiki cleanses all things as well. If burning is what works for you than that is the right thing for you. 🙂

    And you can raise your vibrational level really higher by going vegan and cutting out alltogether the body parts of dead animals from your diet.

    Hello Justine

    I just love this article, Thank you, I like to do everything you have talked about for the benifite of myself and clients, Just recentaly I have been getting Hot flushes, So its that time, on request of my Doctor I’m now taking Estradiol, I’m struggling with this, as I don’t like to take anything, as well as weight gain & acne ( great ) I’m worried it may effect the flow of Reiki,
    Do you have ant advice ?

    How does one know the vibrational level of meat? It seems some folk are always trying to get other folk to give it up …and telling us that the animal carries it fear into the meat which lowers the vibration. I wonder if this is simply a ploy for vegans to try to get us to stop eating meat. Fish & fowl are less intelligent, but they have a higher vibration? Who figured that out & how?

    I can tell you from the wild harvest of venison (deer) that there is often no fear at death …and who are we humans to say that however that animal dies is not part of its journey, as its soul evolves? Truly I believe in kindness to all things & animals should be raised & treated with kindness – death should be humane ….but in eating meat, the simple power of Reiki should let us clear away, any negative energy attached to it …yet we are continually told we should give it up if we want to vibrate higher …I tend to think this is just a personal view point where someone does not ‘believe’ in eating meat & wants the rest of us to feel that too – or someone told it to you & you simply believe for no reason at all …so yes, I question this …yes I wonder.

    I wanted to say something about the vibrations of animals…specifically the comment above mine. Have you ever witnessed a poultry truck driving down the highway at full speed? You don’t think they feel fear? Chickens are very very smart. I’m not vegan or a vegetarian, but I do believe that animals were not intended solely for us to eat. I just think it’s silly and outdated to say animals don’t feel fear…
