We will all encounter situations and places that are filled with stress from time to time. Places that we associate with fear, pain or struggle can trigger feelings of dread and overwhelm. Doctor’s offices, hospitals and other places we associate with illness or death can have this effect. We can also have these types of feelings when we see an upsetting situation, such as an accident, or when we hear a terrible news story.
When this happens, we can choose to lift ourselves out of a lower vibration and into a calmer state by using Reiki to infuse the space around us, as well as giving Reiki to ourselves.
The first place to start is with a brief prayer or a moment of intention. Close your eyes and invite peace and love to return to your inner being. Remember that you are part of the Divine and you are never truly separate from that, just as the sun can be obscured by clouds, but it is never gone from the sky. As that settles into you, allow the warm feelings of love to arise in your body, wherever you are able to feel them. Even if you are not able to feel them as fully as you might when you are in a relaxed place, notice the sensations of peace and love, wherever they are present. Allow your awareness to settle there for a moment.
As you are doing this, you may wish to place a hand on your thigh or on your heart and begin letting Reiki flow into yourself. This will begin to soothe you, along with your prayer and intention. You will feel more balanced and in your body, able to focus on the situation.
Once you are feeling a bit more grounded and able to tune into your surroundings more easily, send Reiki into each of the walls of the room you are in. Use any symbols you feel drawn to, as your intuition will lead you to the proper symbols for each situation. (Even if you are only a Level One practitioner, you can still send Reiki into the walls and the room. Symbols are not required.) Envision Reiki filling the entire room and then everything in it, including all the furniture. The longer you do this, the more you will feel a calm energy enveloping the room.
Ask Reiki to assist you in lifting the unwanted, heavy, stagnant energy from the room and to raise the energy of all who enter the area, if it is in the greatest and highest good. Ask Reiki to remove any fear or pain that is still lingering from past situations, so that those who come here now may feel at peace and have their own experience.
You may also feel led to invite your guides and angels to help you, as well as asking the guides and angels of any others that may be nearby to assist. Their presence can be very helpful and healing and they can often guide you in ways you would not have thought of alone.
Peace is always in our own hearts. It can sometimes be difficult to remember this. Reiki can help to clear the air and remind us.
