Reiki and Family

Reiki never fails to astound me. In this article, I will write about Reiki and the power it has served in regards to my family. I live in Darwin NT, Australia, and my parents, sister and most of my cousins live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. So roughly I’m about a 4.5 hour flight away, which suits me fine.

I’ve always been the odd one out in my family, and I am extremely different to my sister. I cannot bear to spend too much time with her as she is constantly negative and finds the worst in everyone. If her friends do well, she has something horrid to say about it and if I do well, she’s not interested. We are chalk and cheese.

In saying that though, I have always wanted to be close to a family member and haven’t been, because I am different. Living in the Darwin and doing my thing is wonderful as I am surrounded by beautiful Reiki, Reflexology and Tarot clients. They fill my life with joy and wonder. I love doing what I do, however there is always that “something” at the back of my mind, just wishing to fit in with my family and to be loved by them. I never felt I have been.

My hubby and I have been very blessed, to have a husband and wife team up here, who I affectionately call our Darwin parents. They are a couple who I love immensely. We have BBQ’s with them and dinners, and Christmases and they truly are our family up here. However soon, they are leaving Darwin and heading to another state of the country.

So I’ve been sending out Reiki. I send out Reiki every day to the house, to my family in Brisbane and to myself. It’s a glorious energy and I’ve just been sending it out with the intent on family and harmonising all things family. I don’t put any real specifications on the energy; just send Reiki out in relation to family harmony, more so now that I know we are going to say ‘see you later’ to our Darwin parents.

So I’ve been doing this for a while when one day a lovely young lady comes along for a tarot reading. For the purpose of this article we’ll name her Janice. She is approximately 13 years my junior. I am aware her surname is the same as my ‘maiden’ name, and I briefly share that with her as she takes a seat. It’s a great way to build rapport and break the ice. Then during the tarot reading, I kept getting the feeling to dig deeper about her family. The energy was exciting and as I’m trained to feel and interpret energy, I knew there was more to her. So I asked, “Where is your family from”.

The next moments where amazing!!! Janice began to talk about her family, and I was aware of them all. Her father is my cousin. Her grandfather is my uncle. We are related but on my Dad’s side of the family. I never knew any of Dad’s family per say because they were so much older than me, and Dad is from Tasmania, which is the little island state at the bottom of Australia. This young lady is my second cousin. Janice and I are blood!!!

Wow!!! Reiki energy I feel had brought us together, because this lady is remarkable. It came up in her reading how remarkable she is and the amazing thing is that she had checked out a number of Tarot readers businesses here in Darwin, before she made her decision. She said she kept being drawn back to me. Finally she made her appointment, and here we are, related and connecting.

Since that appointment, we keep in regular contact. We enjoy lunches out. Her father (my cousin) doesn’t live in Darwin, nor does her Mum and so Janice feels a bit orphan like, as do I. Although she does have one sister up here (who I am yet to meet, and believe when the time is right we’ll connect as well).

Reiki energy has done wonders in connecting me with my blood family, here in Darwin. Janice is a beautiful and very deep young lady, who I’ve grown to love and respect. I feel our meeting was destined and without a doubt meant to occur, so we both grow and blossom. I am closer to her age, than I am to my actual cousin. As I said, this is part of the reason I don’t know him or the rest of Dad’s family.

To this day and forever more, I will be grateful to the Reiki energy for connecting me with blood family. I feel with Janice our friendship and relationship will continue to grow and blossom and I look forward to really and truly enjoying the journey.

I hope this article helps you to understand that Reiki is not always physical healing, but can heal feelings, such as loneliness of not having family close by. In my case the Reiki energy revealed I did have family here in Darwin, and a young lady, who is becoming extremely important to me.
