In the intricate tapestry of our existence, our thoughts serve as the threads that weave the fabric of our consciousness. These thoughts, actions, and experiences leave imprints on our psyche known as “samskaras.” These imprints are not confined to a single lifetime; they transcend time, families, situations, and even countries. Samskaras are the baggage of our soul’s long journey, and what we carry from this lifetime will be carried forward into our next.
In a world where we meticulously plan what we leave behind for our families and society, it is crucial to reflect on what we carry forward – our soul, samskaras, and karmas.
The Endless Cycle of Samskaras
Every newborn child is unique, reflecting the samskaras accumulated from previous lifetimes. Some children are peaceful, others more fearful, some cry more, some are kind, and some possessively guard their toys. Have you ever pondered what kind of child you will be in your next lifetime? Will you be a happy and cheerful soul, or one who easily gets upset? Will you be someone who shares or one who keeps to themselves? Will you rejoice in others’ success, or harbor jealousy? These traits are echoes of the samskaras carried from the past.
The Weight of Unresolved Samskaras
A soul that carries enmity, resentment, or unresolved emotional baggage will find it difficult to attain peace and evolution in the next life. Such souls carry restlessness and discord within them, a result of not prioritizing their inner growth. Often, we become entangled in minor disagreements and resentments, further deepening the grooves of our samskaras.
The Reiki Approach to Clearing Samskaras
To embark on a journey of spiritual evolution and liberation from the cycle of samskaras, it is imperative to release the hold of past experiences and negative thought patterns. Reiki, a powerful spiritual healing practice, offers a path to cleanse and clear our samskaras. Here’s how:

- Embracing the Present: Reiki reminds us that our focus should be on the here and now. By deleting the thoughts that no longer serve our soul’s purpose and highest good, we ensure that our soul’s playlist for the next lifetime is one of harmony and growth.
Deleting our samskaras through Reiki is a profound and long-term investment in our spiritual evolution. It is not just about what we need to leave behind for the world but, more importantly, what we need to carry ahead.
