I have always been fascinated by the concept of cord-cutting, the practice of severing energetic cords that connect us to people, situations, or negative influences. These cords, though invisible, can hold tremendous power over our lives carrying emotional baggage, draining our energy and keeping us tied to unhealthy patterns or people. Seeking liberation and personal growth, I delved into the world of cord-cutting, exploring different methods to release these energetic ties that no longer served my highest good.
Cord-cutting can be performed through various methods, including visualization, intention setting, energy healing techniques, or ritual practices. When combined with Reiki, it facilitates the release of stagnant or detrimental energies.
Here are some of the many benefits of consciously cutting these cords:
- Freedom from negative influences: Cord-cutting allows us to sever the energetic ties that connect us to negative influences, freeing us from their draining effects and allowing us to move forward without their hold on us.
- Reclaiming our energy: Energetic cords can drain our vitality and leave us feeling depleted. By cutting these cords, we reclaim our energy, restoring a sense of vitality and well-being.
- Personal growth and healing: Cord-cutting promotes personal growth by releasing us from unhealthy patterns and relationships. It creates space for healing and self-transformation, allowing us to move forward on our path of self-discovery.
- Healthier boundaries: Cord-cutting helps us establish and reinforce healthier boundaries with others. It enables us to separate ourselves energetically, creating a space of self-care and protection.
- Enhanced well-being: By releasing the energetic baggage carried by these cords, we experience an overall improvement in our well-being. We feel lighter, more balanced, and aligned with our true selves.
- Cultivating empowerment: Cord-cutting is an empowering practice that puts us in charge of our energetic connections. It helps us take ownership of our energy, allowing us to navigate relationships and interactions from a place of personal empowerment.
- Self-awareness: Through the process of cord-cutting, we gain a deeper understanding of our energetic connections and the impact they have on us. This heightened self-awareness enables us to make conscious choices about the relationships we engage in and the influences we allow into our lives.
In my journey, I discovered the power of the Raku symbol, also known as the “Fire Serpent,” within the realm of Reiki practice. Raku is used in the Master Level of Reiki practice.
After receiving a Reiki attunement, which is a ceremony where the student’s energetic channels are opened to channel Reiki energy, it is important for the student to ground themselves. Raku symbolizes this grounding process and represents Chi or Life Force Energy, which is believed to flow through the body’s energy centers known as chakras. The downward movement of Raku, from the head to the ground, signifies the flow of Chi along the spine, nourishing and balancing the chakras.
By using the Raku symbol during the grounding process, Reiki practitioners aim to facilitate the smooth integration of the attunement energy, allowing it to harmonize with the student’s existing energetic system.
In addition to its role in student-master dynamics, Raku can also be used by Reiki practitioners to prevent energy drainage after a healing session. When working with clients or patients, healers often absorb and transmute negative or stagnant energies. By visualizing and drawing the Raku symbol, practitioners can seal their energy and establish boundaries, preventing their own energy from becoming depleted or entangled with the client’s energy. This practice allows for a more effective and sustainable healing experience.
Raku, My Ultimate Sword
As I embraced the practice of cord-cutting, I realized that Raku could serve as my ultimate sword.
- Visualizing the Raku symbol as a powerful blade, I held the intention of severing the energetic cords that bound me to distressing relationships and negative influences. With a focused mind, I drew the Raku symbol in the air or on paper, watching the imaginary sword cut through the invisible cords that connected me to those draining connections. As I did so, I consciously released any attachment or energetic ties associated with those cords, feeling a sense of liberation and freedom.
- Another technique I employed was drawing the Raku symbol on all four sides, like an impenetrable shield. I envisioned the symbol surrounding me, extending in front, behind, to the left, and to the right. With each stroke of the Raku symbol, I affirmed my intention to cut the cords and create a protective barrier. This visualization created a boundary, shielding me from any unwanted or draining energies.
- But perhaps the most profound method I discovered was joining two Raku symbols to form a pair of scissors. As I visualized these two symbols coming together and closing, I imagined the cord being severed with precision and finality. The act of cutting the cord, accompanied by a profound sense of liberation, affirmed my intention to let go and detach from any negative or draining influences.
My exploration of cord-cutting with the aid of the Raku symbol has been transformative. Raku became an integral part of my cord-cutting journey, an essential energy management tool that freed me from unwanted connections. It has allowed me to let go of energetic baggage, reclaim my energy, and embrace a life free from the draining influences that once held me back. With each cord I cut, I step closer to a brighter, more empowered version of myself. And in the dance of the Raku symbol, I find liberation, balance, and a profound connection to the flow of life energy.
