Reiki is an endless journey of tapping the Universal Life Force to continuously transform and manifest the life of abundance. So in this article, I unveil five tips that I have found to enhance and accelerate the impact of my Reiki practice:
1. Consume a diet rich in raw plant-based foods
There are no specific rules regarding food if you practice Reiki, however in my personal experience, consuming a raw vegan diet is highly supportive to practicing Reiki. The life force gets ample opportunity to run uninterrupted in a system free of obstructions. So even if you do not go completely raw, be sure to include plenty of fruits and vegetables as these are the primary carriers of solar energy.
2. Digital detox
Staying digitally connected is a necessary evil in the modern world. However, electromagnetic radiation from phones and other digital devices interferes with our auric fields. So we should try to limit the amount of time that we spend by avoiding unnecessary scrolling whenever possible. Also, we should keep our devices away while sleeping, meditating, or practicing Reiki.
3. Connect with the natural luminaries – the sun and the moon
The Sun is the ultimate source of energy for our planet. So incorporate ‘Surya Namaskar’ or simply offer obeisances to the Sun everyday.
Similarly, it is extremely beneficial to connect to the Moon. You may charge your crystals or water by keeping them in the moonlight.
- The ‘New Moon’ is an auspicious time to set intentions and launch future projects. As the moon waxes, our energy builds and we gather information while working towards our goal.
- The ‘Full Moon’ is the time to release energies and blockages that no longer serve you. Take a walk under the ‘Full Moon’, with some of your skin exposed to its healing light. Pay special attention to the emotions coursing through your body and all its chakras.
Do not miss meditation during such special days.
4. Capture the special moments – waking and before retiring to sleep
The first few moments of the day when we wake up and the last few when we retire to bed, are some of the most crucial ones in setting the tone for the rest of the day. So capitulate it by sitting silently and paying gratitude for all your gifts in life. This would spiral into positivity and optimism to help you amplify the impact of your Reiki practice.
5. Deep breathing
Our breathing rhythm has a profound influence on our thoughts and emotions. Breath is the bridge between our material existence and our consciousness. Unfortunately, most of us have shallow breathing, because we live in a fast-paced world where stress levels are incredibly high. Practice deep breathing enough so that it becomes your second nature and your aura will reflect that in a matter of days.
